John 9:1-12 New International Version (NIV)
Jesus Heals a Man Born Blind
As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. 2 His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”
3 “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him. 4 As long as it is day, we must do the works of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work. 5 While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” 6 After saying this, he spit on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man’s eyes.
7 “Go,” he told him, “wash in the Pool of Siloam” (this word means “Sent”). So the man went and washed, and came home seeing.
8 His neighbors and those who had formerly seen him begging asked, “Isn’t this the same man who used to sit and beg?” 9 Some claimed that he was.
Others said, “No, he only looks like him.”
But he himself insisted, “I am the man.”
10 “How then were your eyes opened?” they asked.
11 He replied, “The man they call Jesus made some mud and put it on my eyes. He told me to go to Siloam and wash. So I went and washed, and then I could see.”
12 “Where is this man?” they asked him.
“I don’t know,” he said.
A MAN NAMED JESUS ~
There is power in the name of Jesus today. He came as an example on earth and continues that example in our lives.
The blind man is a wonderful example of the faith, detemination and a miracle. His faith guided him to Jesus and his miracle came. He could see again and walk in God's favor upon his life. Jesus was act in a way of putting mud on his eyes and he could see. Maybe you don't want mud on your eyes today but you are searching for a miracle. God wants our eyes open spiritually and to walk by faith daily. One of which will heal your body, give you a perfect job, no financially worries and the list goes on. All things are done believing in Jesus and knowing the outcome.
I don't know what you are asking for today, but God hears you. It's not too late to believe and rest in the power of Jesus and his timing is right on time. Even in moments of feeling it's not the right time, it becomes time to believe. Hold on for your miracle or the miracle a loved one is waiting for in life. We must ask, seek and know that God has this. I remember praying for my brother to get a miracle from cancer. He was only 37 years old and went to Heaven. Someone told me that he did get a miracle because he was with Jesus. Those were words I did not want to hear. What do you mean that God takes lives to get well? I was only 32 years old and I didn't understand at all. Now that's I am 61 years old, I can tell you that I understand more now. I understand that God has a timing for each of us to be born and to die. Some will get miracles like the blind man did and others won't. I will not question the plan of God for my life, but I hold onto knowing that miracles do happen and I've seen them!
God is a promise keeper and helps our thoughts through all seasons of life. Somethings will never make sense to your brain or mine, but God has this. I am glad that I have seen miracles because it stirs my faith to believe more. I know that greater is ahead and this is the day that God has made. So my choice is to believe, lean to God and hold on for things unseen. I thank God for the example of Jesus and the lives of those around me who live it.
Be encouraged today and hold on!!!
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
