Psalm 91:1-2 New International Version (NIV)
1 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”
MESSAGE ME ~
God sends us message through his word (Bible)
I love Psalm 91:1-2 above, read it again. I know I must dwell in God and rest in the shadow. Have you ever looked and saw how close your shadow is? It's amazing when you think of resting in God's shadow. Life changes for each of us suddenly and we must rest in knowing God has our backs.
I know in younger years, I didn't understand this concept of life. I didn't even know to rest in God or his plan. I have learned much by reading the Bible and hearing others. My son (Chad) told me about Jeremiah 29:11 in 2004 when we were in Cabo. We were on our first out of the country vacation and we got caught in the water. All of us was okay but it left us shaking and talking more about God. It was a big struggle to get out of the water that covered us. It was there that I completely told God I would teach and do what he called me to if I had another chance. Chad quoted Jeremiah 29:11 and said that God knew this would happen.
Jeremiah 29:11 New International Version (NIV)
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Chad continued the conversation with a plan by God. As we sat and gave thanks for being okay, we realized that we were too close to the water and didn't obey the signs on the beach. It clearly said not to get too close to the water because of rip tides. However, we found out it was a small tsunami. We were still too close to the water and it went over us on the sand. I can't swim and my husband helped onto me. God got us all out safe.
MESSAGE ME ~
READ THE SIGNS AND DO IT
Throughout life we must admit there are signs that keep us from danger. There are signs and rules we live by in life. If something says do not, then we should not. We live by a clock for so many things in life. We wait on time to go and we wait on time to go home. We wait to grow up, then we grow up we often wish we were kids again. We don't know what's next in life, our days can be planned and suddenly they change. Sometimes that change is good and sometimes that change is very hard.
MESSAGE ME ~
I often wait for people to message me back on texting. Some message me right away and others take days to message back, while some do not message back at all. Messages are good and can be encouraging to others. Just a simple thinking about you or asking how someone is. Life is full of short messages that leaves a heart feel loved. I love it when people just sent me a short message. Maybe just a smiley face and you know that person is thinking of you.
Now we have talked about messages from God, messages from each other and now about messages to yourself. I hope you daily encourage yourself like David did in the Bible. He was facing a hard things and he found strength in the Lord his God.
1 Samuel 30:6 (NIV)
David was greatly distressed because the men were talking of stoning him; each one was bitter in spirit because of his sons and daughters. But David found strength in the LORD his God.
There was words that can uplift each of us. Positive words of who we are today in God. All of our yesterdays are gone and we can gain wisdom from them. We can find strength in the Lord our God and live in freedom of mind. Here the message today and always, you are loved! You are important and created by God for a much bigger purpose. Living an example before others and living the message of hope. God's words is a roadmap for each of us. Purpose time to give thanks to God and purpose time to tell yourself good job! God says:
Matthew 25:23 (NIV)
"His master replied, 'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master's happiness!'
I can hear God replying to each of us, GOOD JOB and come join me. A message to receive and to live in the peace of knowing God has you. Each decision makes a difference and free will isn't always free. We must surrender to his plan, his promises and future. Make good choices and share this life you have been given. My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
