We observe a day in memory of all who served in our armed forces, of all wars and died.  We give honor and grateful hearts for our freedom as well.  Men and Women who protected us and gave their lives for us.  We should never take our freedom for granted.   Jesus comforts us in all seasons of life too.

John 14 New International Version (NIV)
Jesus Comforts His Disciples
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me.2 My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. 4 You know the way to the place where I am going.”

Jesus the Way to the Father
5 Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?”
6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you really know me, you will know my Father as well. From now on, you do know him and have seen him.”

MEMORIAL DAY 2020 ~

My dad was in World War II and he saw so many hard things, but never wanted to talk about it to me.  He said we could talk when I got older, probably out of high school he said.  Yet, he died a few weeks after I got out of high school. I never heard his stories of war.  I could see the pain on his face when I would ask questions about war.

To tall the families who grieve and give honor today to their loved ones, I pray.  I pray for your hearts and your mind to rest in knowing you have a hero in your life.  Missing that person or more than one person so much.  Nobody can easy the pain in your heart, but God and time.  I say time because when I was 18 and my dad died, I thought I would never stop crying all day long. A day cry turned into less crying throughout time, but he never leaves my heart.  Love is great and when someone leaves earth, our minds plus hearts stays connected.

This year of 2020, we live during a pandemic in our world.  Many States in the USA are shelter in place and world as well.  I live in California and we are still sheltered in place with a stores just beginning to do curb side services.  Parks are shut down and no memorial day big picnics today.  Many are staying home, while other venture out against the wishes of our Governor.  Let us remember not to let our hearts be troubled, but to do our best daily to live in peace of mind. There is a time to be born and a time to enter Heaven.  We sure don't want people to leave us and they will live within us forever.

John 14:1-3 King James Version (KJV)
Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.  2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.  3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

God, we thank you for this memorial day 2020.  We thank you for ALL the men and women who served in the military and gave heir lives for us.  We pray today for their families and friends. We know a day that brings memories can often hurt so bad in missing someone.  We pray for each who cry today and those who will go to cemeteries to put flowers on grave of loved ones.  We know this day is hard in many ways and yet, a day of family plus friends.  As our world is in shelter in place in many areas, let us continue to be wise and follow the rules of our land.  Give hope and peace to everyone who reads this and needs miracles in their own lives together.  Many hurt for different reasons than Memorial today and we let us hold them up today in prayer. I have seen prayer work and miracles happen.  Keep us safe and well today as we thank you for lives of those who gave it all.  Also, help those who have lost loved ones through this pandemic war as well. Easy the heart pain and give peace today.  AMEN

THROUGH IT ALL ~
HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY OF 2020, do your best today and purpose it a good day.
