A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.
Mark 12:30-31 New International Version (NIV)
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ 31 The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”
1 Corinthians 13:4-5 New International Version (NIV)
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.
1 Peter 4:8 New International Version (NIV)
Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.
LOVE IS ~
Treating others in a kind way. Love is a feeling, an emotion and action. It all balances out with the term kindness to me.
I like the example that Piglet and Pooh said in the picture. Love is a feeling and that's huge to a lot of us. Having someone who says I love you or comes just to hang out with you.
Growing up with my brother five years older than me and he didn't want me around him. Being a little sister wasn't fun and I felt like I missed out. That all changed after I graduated high school. We became friends and I showed him he was important to me. Love covers a lot and we change over time as well. We find out the important people in our lives and we cherish time with them. The above scripture Mark 12:30 speaks of loving God with all your heart, soul, mind and with all your heart.
Let us do our best to love others the way God does and guard our hearts with people don't always show us kindness or love back. My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
