Ephesians 4:32 New International Version (NIV)
Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
When someone wrongs us, it hurts and often hard to forgive. The words spoken go deep inside of us and the replay button can get stuck. Negative words and actions are hard to overcome. It takes God dealing with our hearts and our emotions over time. Time is the best healer of things and yet a suddenly reminder, can take us right back to the beginning. We must forgive others, as Christ has forgiven us. Living kindness out is important. So much easier said than done at times.
LIVE KINDNESS ~
Galatians 5:22-23 New International Version (NIV)
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
BE KIND ~
It is truly a choice to live by
In my younger years, I wasn't always treated with kindness. In grade school, some kids made fun of me. I was shy and seem to have a harder time learning. I had a fourth grade teacher laugh when I couldn't spell a word and the class followed her lead with laughter. I was scared to raise my hand after that to even ask a question. This action still follows me today when I think of being in fourth grade. This was not an act of kindness by the teacher or class mates. I use this example to tell kids they are smart and can do anything.
ONE ACT OF BEING KIND ~
It can last a lifetime......
Think of one person who has been kind to you. I can think of several people right now. Just a thought of someone being kind makes me smile. The bible speaks of being a peacemaker too. I find that evil and good can not rest in the same place. You must choose one and being kind is the answer.
Matthew 5:9 ~ Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.
OTHER PEOPLE ~
We can not help what other people say to us. We may need to battle some thoughts in our mind and then rise far above it. We may need to encourage someone today to press forward. Being a peacemaker is valuable and showing acts of kindness. No matter what, I do my best daily to be kind to others. How about you,do you live kindness? It is your choice how to act daily.
Proverbs 3:3-4 New International Version (NIV)
3 Let love and faithfulness never leave you;
bind them around your neck,
write them on the tablet of your heart.
4 Then you will win favor and a good name
in the sight of God and man.
GO AHEAD ~ CHOOSE TO BE KIND
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends
