Isaiah 48:17-18 New International Version (NIV)
17 This is what the Lord says--
your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel:
“I am the Lord your God,
who teaches you what is best for you,
who directs you in the way you should go.
18 If only you had paid attention to my commands,
your peace would have been like a river,
your well-being like the waves of the sea.
We are to live this life we have been given to the fullest
Job 19:25-27 New International Version (NIV)
25 I know that my redeemer lives,
and that in the end he will stand on the earth
26 And after my skin has been destroyed,
yet in my flesh I will see God;
27 I myself will see him
with my own eyes—I, and not another.
How my heart yearns within me!
It passes us by so quickly. I have thought about the past way too much and dwelled on things I could not change. It didn't prosper me or make a big difference other than taking my time. Why not purpose you thoughts in a positive direction and go after the greater things of life? Why not trust the Lord and allow him to guide you into positive thinking of life? Sure things happen to each of us and that might trip us up but don't let it stop you. God is on the throne of grace, mercy, forgiveness, kindness and all good things. Looking to him has brought me strength and courage to face hard stuff. Not only hard stuff, but good stuff in life too. Some positive things can be hard to face too.
Life as a child has helped my adulthood. I see how that little girl wanted to grow up to teach kindness and I do. I see how that little girl had dreams and some came true, but some I still wait on. Waiting is not a bad thing, but a time of knowing God has a plan too. His plan is often greater than what I could ever imagine and waiting is okay for me. How about you? Are you waiting on that Christmas miracle or that heart's desire? Well the Bible says this:
Psalm 37:4 (NIV)
Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Life is about taking delight in the Lord and keeping hope alive. Today is a new day and we can certainly count blessings in each of our lives. The gift of life and the gift of love. God has shown us both and it's important to thank him for your life. His love is everlasting and won't leave us. His promises are true and amen. I speak of this often but I have found my strength in the Lord. Nothing is too big for him and keep believing in miracles. Life is short, one day we look around and now we adults doing life together. I am so glad you chose to read this page today and share in new beginnings with me this day.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
