Genesis 1:14-19 New Living Translation
14 Then God said, “Let lights appear in the sky to separate the day from the night. Let them be signs to mark the seasons, days, and years.
15 Let these lights in the sky shine down on the earth.” And that is what happened.
16 God made two great lights—the larger one to govern the day, and the smaller one to govern the night. He also made the stars. 17 God set these lights in the sky to light the earth, 18 to govern the day and night, and to separate the light from the darkness. And God saw that it was good.
19 And evening passed and morning came, marking the fourth day.
A NEW DAY ~
Brings about change in many ways
I am certainly glad that God made the night end and a new day awaits us. We make plans and schedule out our time daily. Getting ready for a new day and the clock ticks by in seconds, minutes and then hours. Each number meaning a place we should be and somethings we should time. Time spent with loved ones and recalling great memories of yesterdays.
LAST NIGHT ~
There was a service for women at my church. I was suppose to teach but came down with a very bad headache. I had been struggling with it all day and my emotions stirred up some thoughts. Darlene and I decided to trade weeks in teaching and she handled last night's service. It was amazing and a few women gave testimonies of a sudden change in their lives. The miracle working power of God and breathing hope into a room of women. I'm so glad to be part of this amazing church and women who truly care about you.
I have learned so much about yesterdays of life. We can not compare our life with someone else's life. God has created you, just like he created the sun and the moon. A reason and a plan unknown, plus greater things ahead in a new day.
I know that God has brought our lives together for a reason. We might not know each other well, but you came to this page to read it. After all is said and done, we find blessings in words written and people who care. The sun comes up and giving thanks unto a God who created it all.
Days go by quickly and things suddenly change. Sometimes it is best to let go of what you can't change and change the things you can. Be patient and know that God's timing is everything. Last night also brought about great thoughts of the day. I was able to spend time in Brookley (my granddaughter's) class room. Today is her last day of kindergarten and I know how fast kids grow up. Emotions and blessings seem to run together. I'm thankful for a new day of life and I know that yesterdays of life have brought me to my now.
I hope you can count some blessings today and see how much God has already done for you. Maybe not everything you ever wanted, but certainly greater things are ahead. Look through eyes of faith and wait for his plans to unfold and trust him greatly. My prayers continue for you and your family/friends. The moon comes to me as a reminder of the power of God and then the sun rises. There are different seasons for all things and yet his love remains the same.
