a toy that is made of a light frame covered with cloth, paper, or plastic and that is flown in the air at the end of a long string.
I read a statement about a kite. A kite can not fly without the wind. It takes the person holding the end of the string and wind. Often times of running to get that kite up in the sky. The wind carries it up and once in the sky, you can stand to watch the affects. It started on the ground and was lifted up high.
Let me relate this story of the kite to stories of trials in our lives. We don't always see the results, but we know the beginning. We must hold confidence like Job in the Bible with his life. He trusted God beyond limits and had far more at the end of his life, than the beginning of his life. The devil came to test him, but God knew his faithfulness to God. Read this:
Job 1:6-12 New International Version (NIV)
6 One day the angels came to present themselves before the Lord, and Satan also came with them.
7 The Lord said to Satan, “Where have you come from?”
Satan answered the Lord, “From roaming throughout the earth, going back and forth on it.”
8 Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil.”
9 “Does Job fear God for nothing?” Satan replied. 10 “Have you not put a hedgearound him and his household and everything he has? You have blessed the work of his hands, so that his flocks and herds are spread throughout the land. 11 But now stretch out your hand and strike everything he has, and he will surely curse you to your face.”
12 The Lord said to Satan, “Very well, then, everything he has is in your power, but on the man himself do not lay a finger.”
Then Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.
FLY HIGH ~ God released Job, but through it all God knew Job's heart. Satan had no power to take Job's life. He only could test him and Job stayed faithful to God. Somethings in our lives will never make sense. Somethings do test us and hurt us. Somethings push us forward and we just hold on that string tied tight to God and know he is going to lift us up. It's not an option to stop doing our best daily and living according to the word of God. There is too much to gain, than to loose not serving God.
Purpose this a good day and enjoy the life you have been given. Never compare your life to anyone else, because you weren't meant to be them. You were meant to be you and allow God to mold you daily. We are to become better people and not bitter!
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
