When I was in school, history would tell of this day and the importance of it. History class and I can still see a teacher standing before me talking about how great our country was and continues to be. It planted inside my head and it was the beginning of learning of many great things in life.
JULY 4th ~ It's often thought of as a parade day, fireworks, barbecues, time with family and friends. There is a celebration that takes place and we are reminded as fireworks go off, that we have freedom in USA. A time to celebrate our country and each other.
There is also another type of FREEDOM found in calling upon on God. God sent his only son to die for each of us. To give us a better way and to learn of the mercy plus grace that is here for us. There is a purpose behind a day with a Title or a day with a great memory. The Bible is full of stories of men and women who paved the way before us. Leaving by stories of victories and overcomes of many things. Leaving behind stories that were terrible and lost victories of their own ways. We must put God first and plant hope each day of life. A new day brings freedom of choices and actions.
Galatians 5:1 English Standard Version (ESV)Christ Has Set Us FreeFor freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.
STAND FIRM ~
We will not all believe the same, we will not all agree on things, we will all plant different things in our garden of hope, desires and free will. We will gain victories in life and we will loose some. But who is it that you place your trust? Place your trust in Jesus and learn of his ways. Learn of the freedom of mind, soul and being each day of life. Grow stronger and not bitter. Live happy and remember the joys that came into your life. I often see people grow bitter and live in yesterdays. We must live in today and count blessings of life. Sure it can be hard, but pressing forward should be our only choice.
As we go today and celebrate the 4th of July, let us see what God has done already. He has protected our country while our worlds grows crazy. To many people with wrong thinking and that changes things around us. Let you and I be the one who stands firm in our faith, believe in God and share hope today. Celebrating freedom with fireworks and so much more. Pray for the USA and other countries!
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
