MEMORIES and CELEBRATIONS ~
A day filled with family, friends, parades, fireworks, memories and new beginnings. There is so much to be said about July 4th. Thinking back over the years and the freedom of living in America to celebrate Independence day. Men and women who sacrifices their time and lives for our country. Believing in the power of defending us and protecting us. We might not think about as we sleep, there are men and women who continue to guard our lives from near and far away. Many lives sacrificed at early ages and not rest in Heaven.
Psalm 33:11-13 New Living Translation
11 But the Lord’s plans stand firm forever;
his intentions can never be shaken.
12 What joy for the nation whose God is the Lord,
whose people he has chosen as his inheritance.
13 The Lord looks down from heaven
and sees the whole human race.
Generation to Generation ~
My heart is thankful for people who give of themselves and help others. I heard stories from a man who was 85 years old. He would sit and tell me stories of world war II. The pictures inside of his mind was so clear and so sad. I can't imagine what people saw during war time or even today in protecting others. The night mare of the days of what they see and living in a now of life. So much happens and we never know their story.
My cousin went off to war when I was a kid. I didn't understanding the depth of people fighting or protecting us as we sleep. My cousin Jimmy began to tell me stories. He once said that I was too young to understand it all and he didn't want to share some stories. I was young and he was right, I didn't understand how precious life was a kid. I didn't understand someone leaving everything they knew as normal, to the unknown way of life. They would train for along time and prepare to go into battle if needed. I do give thanks daily for people who gave their lives for us and those who continue to serve our country. I thank God for their family and friends too. I do understanding it must be crazy hard at times and much prayer is needed.
JULY 4th ~ also known as a day of Freedom
2 Corinthians 3:17 New International Version
Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
A new mindset in God and living in today. Praying for those who hurt and their memories overtake them. The Bible says where the spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. Inside our minds are opportunities to make things happen. A changed mindset gets us through things of life. God can give a peace beyond a human understanding too.
On this July 4th, let us count blessings of life. Look deep within yourself and give a shout out for a new day. A new day, but remembering the power behind the flag, America and people who serve. Remembering that God has a plan and we don't always need to know each step but to walk by faith in God. Jeremiah 29:11 holds A plan, A promise and A future.
My prayers are with you, your families and friends on this July 4th. I value your time and pray that you will see the freedom you living in America is priceless and God wants you to live in freedom of mind as well. Whether you see fireworks or not, just remember the sky lights up for a reason. Time to celebrate lives and freedom.
Let your heart light up today for all the good things of your life and know that you are important. Your example can flows from generation to generation as people talk about you in life. One life makes such a difference and that would be yours.
Have a safe and fun day!
