DICTIONARY:

Definition of Independence Day

: a civil holiday for the celebration of the anniversary of the beginnings of national independence specifically : July 4 observed as a legal holiday in the U.S. in commemoration of the adoption of the Declaration of Independence in 1776

Today, we celebrate our freedom in different ways.  Some will do family barbecues and hang out.  Others are camping and enjoying family time.  Some will stay home and hear all the illegal fireworks around their cities.  I dislike that no parade is happening or legal fireworks in our area.  The Corona Virus has changed so much around us.  We have learned to wear masks while going inside a store or close to another person.  Last year on July 4th seems like a million years ago.  We are searching for a new normals and hoping not to get this virus, while still praying for those who are sick.  Praying for doctors, nurses and hospital workers.  Praying for all 911 workers and firemen who battle fires.

GOD, we need you as we continue this July 4th Holiday. Be with us and help guide us to doing right things in life.  Let our lives be an example of kindness and love.  I pray for the readers of my blog, their families and friends.  Met us exactly where we are at and continue to help us be an example of you.  I want to pray for those men and women who served in wars and military to have a bless day.  I'll never forget how my mom's 84 year old boyfriend said he disliked days like July 4th, Veterans Day and any day that brought him back to his war days.  People remember things that hurt and I ask today that this would be a good day for people.  Let this new normal bring them to new memories of a beautiful day.  AMEN

Happy 4th of July ~
