Psalm 28 New Life Version
Prayer for Help—Praise for the Answer
1 ~ O Lord, to You I call. O my Rock, listen to me. If You will not hear me, I will be like those who have gone down to the grave. 2 Hear my cry for loving-kindness as I call to You for help, and when I lift up my hands to Your holy place.
3 Do not drag me away with the sinful and with those who do bad things. They speak peace with their neighbors, while sin is in their hearts. 4 Pay them for their work and for the sins they do. Pay them for the works of their hands. Give them what they have earned. 5 They do not think about the works of the Lord and what His hands have done. So He will pull them down and not build them up again.
6 May honor and thanks be given to the Lord, because He has heard my prayer. 7 The Lord is my strength and my safe cover. My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped. So my heart is full of joy. I will thank Him with my song. 8 The Lord is the strength of His people. He is a safe place for His chosen one. 9 Save Your people and bring good to what is Yours. Be their shepherd and carry them forever.
The Lord has heard my prayer. The bible speaks about prayer, praise and listening. The Lord is my strength and my safe cover. It continues to say, "So my heart is full of joy". There comes a time when we must purpose to choose joy. So many ups and downs in life that we struggle in feeling joy. It takes a made up mind to continue to trust God.
I hear stories of lives that trust God in hard times. It's not easy, but counting blessings daily is a must in life. We can see the negative easy, but the positive should be easy too. A fine mixture of both and yet the peace of God can rest upon our hearts. I've personally been broken and had hard to deal with things in life. I have felt overpowered and felt like giving up on so many things. When we learn to become stedfast and seek God through it all, we find ourselves growing up. In life, we don't want to be known as a quitter but a doer of the word. A person who lives according to how God has shown us through lives of others.
The Bible is filled with stories of people who were human. Yes, we have all sinned according to the Bible and yet a God who loves us unconditionally. He has open a door for each of us to ask forgiveness over things and move forward. The JOY comes from trusting God through it all. A deep level of trust and desire to do the right thing in life.
THE JOY OF THE LORD IS MY STRENGTH
We can live in confidence, that God has this moment in life for each of us. Live the best you can daily to trust God and let joy enter your heart. If we aren't careful in life, we become bitter people instead of better people. A sudden thing happens in your life and it overpowers you, but let God be the power. The source and strength that only God can give each of us. Just a trust beyond a human understanding at times. It is also important to stay connected to others.
My prayers continue for each one who reads my blog and your family/friends. I value your time and you prayers. Purpose this a joyful day in the Lord.
