Stories of victories in life
Jesus not only said let the little children come to him, but he told us not to hinder them. I have watched parents not allow their kids to go to church as a punishment to them. The child did something wrong and the parent took away their youth group night. I'm not trying to judge the parents, because maybe they don't really know the depth of one night. But I used to be a youth pastor's wife and I took the responsibility to teach kids to do the right thing. It is within that group of people, that change happens. One message can turn a child from wrong thinking into right thinking.
I also know that kids need correctly and somethings are just not meant for me to understand but to pray for the kids and parents. Just because I don't hold the title of youth pastor's wife, I still hold the responsibility of teaching. Adults need to continue to be the adult while leading by one's heart. Show the love of God through your life too. We might not all have kids but we know kids. Kids watch lives a lot more than we might think. Be an example of Jesus to others.
JESUS SAID ~
Come to me and see
Come to me as you are
Matthew 18:3 (NIV)
And he said: "Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
Today I would ask you to come to Jesus and trust him. Find that enter child inside of you and allow your heart to believe big in God. A new day brings change and right thinking goes a long way. Someday this life will be over and we will stand before God. In that time, we want to hear WELL DONE my good and faithful servant.
I remember when I wanted someone to go with me to an appointment. I needed to ask and allow the person freedom to say yes or not. It took me taking that chance they might say yes. Having a friend is valuable and someone who knows your heart. Taking that same kind of friendship with God. He is right there with us and never leaves us alone. We just need to talk to him daily. Develop a real friendship an learn of his ways.
I realize that not all of us grow up the same or in church. We don't know the word of God or his plan. We are learning and growing daily in this life. Once we surrender our will to God's will, we find that child like faith that develops. We have new choices and new things to think about in life. God calls us his children and he wants us to come to him in all things. I don't know what you are facing today, but face it with God's word. You are important and your choices are important.
My thoughts and prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
