Thinking over the day, I find myself seeing the power behind a positive thought. During the Christmas Season, I was sick so much of the time. A sinus infection, ear infection and just lack of energy. When I posted it on Facebook, I had people say, "you are always sick". I don't think of it like that, but I guess it was in December. I gave that thought power. I sat in the chair and said, "I am always sick". I found myself feeling even worse.
IT'S MY TURN ~
I turned my thoughts to positive! I might be sick, but I am getting better. Each day I told myself, you are a little better. It did take a long time, but I am finding myself better each day. I told myself I needed to rest, now I need to get up and get my strength back. The sickness was real, but I found that prayer and positive thoughts helped!
Philippians 4:13 (NIV)
I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
IT'S MY TURN ~
As you continue to read the Bible, you will find scriptures of hope. Keeping your mind stayed on God and knowing that in everything he brings hope. Our thoughts continue as we press forward.
Psalm 30:11-12 (NIV)
11 You turned my wailing into dancing;
you removed my sackcloth and clothed me with joy,
12 that my heart may sing your praises and not be silent.
Lord my God, I will praise you forever.
I will praise God in everyday thoughts! As I look up into the sky, I will see the power behind a cloud, the sun or even the moon at night. Who else can change the day to night and sadness to happiness? God has the power to turn your thoughts to powerful ones. Keep the faith alive and watch him make this day a great one.
IT'S MY TURN ~
Isaiah 61 (NIV)The Year of the Lord’s Favor
61 The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,
because the Lord has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners,[a]
2 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor
and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,
3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion--
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
instead of ashes,
the oil of joy
instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the Lord
for the display of his splendor.
4 They will rebuild the ancient ruins
and restore the places long devastated;
they will renew the ruined cities
that have been devastated for generations.
5 Strangers will shepherd your flocks;
foreigners will work your fields and vineyards.
6 And you will be called priests of the Lord,
you will be named ministers of our God.
You will feed on the wealth of nations,
and in their riches you will boast.
7 Instead of your shame
you will receive a double portion,
and instead of disgrace
you will rejoice in your inheritance.
And so you will inherit a double portion in your land,
and everlasting joy will be yours.
8 “For I, the Lord, love justice;
I hate robbery and wrongdoing.
In my faithfulness I will reward my people
and make an everlasting covenant with them.
9 Their descendants will be known among the nations
and their offspring among the peoples.
All who see them will acknowledge
that they are a people the Lord has blessed.”
10 I delight greatly in the Lord;
my soul rejoices in my God.
For he has clothed me with garments of salvation
and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness,
as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest,
and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
11 For as the soil makes the sprout come up
and a garden causes seeds to grow,
so the Sovereign Lord will make righteousness
and praise spring up before all nations.
IT IS YOUR TURN TOO ~ BELIEVE BIG
Move into the plan God has for your life. Maybe you don't know it yet, but one step toward God is powerful. Each step leads to another, just like one thought to another thought. Make sure you give your thoughts positive ones and keep the faith alive. There is always hope in a new day and God's plan continues to unfold. My prayers continue as well for the readers of my blog, your family and friends.
