The Prayer of Faith
13 Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise. 14 Is anyone among you sick? Let them call the elders of the church to pray over them and anoint them with oil in the name of the Lord. 15 And the prayer offered in faith will make the sick person well; the Lord will raise them up. If they have sinned, they will be forgiven. 16 Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.
17 Elijah was a human being, even as we are. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. 18 Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops.
19 My brothers and sisters, if one of you should wander from the truth and someone should bring that person back, 20 remember this: Whoever turns a sinner from the error of their way will save them from death and cover over a multitude of sins.
TALK TO ME ~
Sometimes life moves us to talk to people. Trusting a friend and needing to talk things out. I like that Elijah was a human being that prayed and God answered. Just like each of us who have a prayer and trusting God on a new level. Maybe the unseen things is the answer to our prayers. I have prayed and not seen the answer I wanted. I have prayed and seen the answer I so needed. Miracles happen in this life and I have seen them. My son at the age of two got a muscle disease and was told by his doctor he had about 3 days to live. It was scary and I called every person I could to pray. There was no internet then or cell phone. I reached out to others the best I could and I reached out to God. My husband and I agreed in prayer and so many others. Chad is now 34 years old and doing great.
PRAYER ~ It doesn't always turn out the way we want or think. I do believe that God is in charge and wants us to reach out the him. Through it all, I seen too much to doubt the power of God. Even in my anger moments of life I could to say God wasn't real. Just disappointed but go through it. Like I said, with Chad's miracle I know the power of God.
My life is important and I sometimes question that. I can feel like a person without a voice at times. It's just a feeling because down deep, I know my voice is heard. I had someone contact me yesterday and express their voice about my life. My example is seen over Facebook and how I handle somethings. I try my best to be real and share from the middle of my heart. I have learned to be good to myself and see the value in a new day. I hope you do that as well.
THE PRAYER OF FAITH ~
Trusting in God when you can't see it
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
