I find strength in the Lord!
1 Samuel 30:6 (NIV)
David was greatly distressed because the men were talking of stoning him; each one was bitter in spirit because of his sons and daughters. But David found strength in the Lord his God.
David turned to God and found strength in the Lord his God. David knew who God was to him, but it took David encouraging himself. Have you ever had a time when you needed to encourage yourself? I had many times of needing to encourage myself. As I grow older, I find myself growing through circumstances. I continue to learn to put my trust in God. It's important not to let circumstances sway you from the path God has for you in life.
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.
I talk to people who share their heart with me. Sometimes we don't understand the why of somethings in life or the timing of God. Somethings takes us off guard and we are suddenly thrown into a new normal. A normal of change can take us off guard and we find ourselves wondering a bit too much. We must continue to trust God and wonder why less.
One of my favorite things is a bridge. A bridge that connects one side to another. I love helping people connect in life. I often must guard my heart, because I connect people and don't see the results I thought I would. Then God spoke to my heart and it isn't my job to control the answer I want from anyone. God moves through people and gives freedom of choices. It goes back to the example of leading a horse to water, but you can't make him drink. The teacher can open the door, but the student must enter. It becomes time to lean not to our own understanding on somethings in life.
GOD IS AT WORK ~
We should do things with a heart of good intentions. God will make our paths straight, but we must submit our will to him. Taking one day at a time and process change. It is who I am knowing that all scripture is God-breathed and he teaches me through circumstances, lives, situations and daily living.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NIV)
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, 17 so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
IT IS ME ~
I FOUND STRENGTH IN GOD and continue to trust him.
Psalm 16:8 (NIV)
I keep my eyes always on the LORD. With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends. Be who God has created you to be and don't be shaken in any circumstance. Know who you have placed your trust ~ GOD!
