Genesis 1:1-5 New International Version (NIV)
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. 2 Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hoveringover the waters.
Read on in the Bible:
3 And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light. 4 God saw that the light was good, and he separated the light from the darkness. 5 God called the light “day,” and the darkness he called “night.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the first day.
Let me just stay here with the first day. Everyday of life is a gift given by God. If we just stop here and thinking about the oceans and how the sky is painted different every day. Only God can create such an amazing place to live and with the hope of Heaven. There have been times in my life when I was mad at God. I didn't understanding why I had to go throughs one things of life. Then I realized, God has also given me power through him to overcome and be a witness for him. I might never understand the plan of God at times, but I understand his power is all great.
I remember watching the Wizard of Oz as a kid. I was always curious what the Wizard looked like. When it came to TV every year, I would watch it and be sad if we missed it. I saw how Dorothy was determined to reach her destination and wanted answers. She didn't just go alone, she found people along the path to go with her. It clearly shows how one life influences another. Let me stop here with the story and talk about our lives. Our lives also need rest.
Genesis 1:31 (NIV)
God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day.
God's power gives us rest and the ability to know he is able to handle our now. Reaching out in prayer and praise everyday of life. A real communication with him and he becomes real to our soul. As humans, we often see what we don't have instead of what we do have. We do always want more and things to change. While living in your now has a purpose too. Learning and growing everyday into a person who totally trusts the Lord. He isn't invisible to everybody and we just know he is there. I've seen miracles in my life time and resting in knowing he is able. I've had sorrows and brokenness too. I find a real living God and moving in my life daily.
