Mark 12:41-44 New Life Version
The Woman Whose Husband Had Died Gave All She Had
41 Jesus sat near the money box in the house of God. He watched the people putting in money. Many of them were rich and gave much money.
42 A poor woman whose husband had died came by and gave two very small pieces of money.
43 Jesus called His followers to Him. He said, “For sure, I tell you, this poor woman whose husband has died has given more money than all the others. 44 They all gave of that which was more than they needed for their own living. She is poor and yet she gave all she had, even what she needed for her own living.”
INSIDE OUT ~
This story comes from the middle of a woman's heart. She gave all she had and God knew what she could give. Sometimes we tend to forget that God looks inside our hearts and knows the intent of it. Doing our best in life is important. Some people have much and others have less, either way God knows that intent in giving to him and to others.
Psalm 37:25 New Life Version
I have been young, and now I am old.
Yet I have never seen the man who is right with God left alone, or his children begging for bread.
Over my lifetime, I've seen people who didn't know how to balance a dollar or even their time. They complain about not having enough, but just maybe they haven't learned to balance their lives. Balance is a key factor in prospering in God physically, spiritually and mentally. For example:
When I was younger, my husband had a terrible accident and fell on a construction site over 40 feet. He face was saved by the hard hat on his head and he received broken ribs and one broken knee cap. He was off work a very long time and had surgery on his knee. We learned to live on less money and learned a new way of life. Our children were 2 years old and 5 years old. So much stress and it taught us both so much. The value of one life, one day and one decision. It wasn't my husband's fault in the accident but he suffered much from it.
Moving forward a bit, we continued to give to God and to our church. Later in life, we would have more money and needed guidance on how to balance things. Not everyone older than us is wise with guiding us and we must be careful in what we do. My husband and I listen to the wrong people and today, we see that clearly. Yet, we made the final decision. Be careful of your final decisions of life and move into the place where you can prosper. Some older people didn't get where they are today over night. They went through somethings to get there.
Seek out wise counsel ~
In seeking it out, listen and weigh you thoughts before your actions.
INSIDE OUT ~
God gives us open doors and closed doors. Don't try to open a door that God clearly closed. Press forward and lean to God for new beginnings. Control in a negative way, is not from God and if you are control by a person, it's time to break things! Inside our heads can tell us one thing, inside our hearts tells us another things, but they should balance out to the same thing.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends!
