but those who hope in the Lord
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
IN THE SILENCE ~
Psalm 46:10 New International Version (NIV)
He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”
IN THE SILENCE ~
God is always at work, even in the silence
I am doing a Bible Study on the life of Joseph, by Kelly Minter. An amazing study of the years that God was at work but Joseph couldn't see that. He was only 17 when change began to happen to him and he went 13 years to give him freedom of the past. Joseph knew that God was always with him. Please know this: GOD IS ALWAYS WITH YOU!
Each of us have a past and that past can affect our now of life. As we live in the season of shelter in place lifestyle, I am learning through it. The year was 1918 when the flu came through our country and many died. People were living out History then, much like we are living out History now. Someday people will look back at the stories of lives changed because of this virus of the year 2020. Some happy stories and some very sad stories that turned to death. We hurt for people we don't even know. Life has changed drastically for so many people.
I have heard that silence is golden and worth so much. I understand the depth of that now as I am aging. God works in the silence times of life. We can pray and seek the Lord in all times. Good times and bad times of life. I haven't always seen the golden in that statement above. Yet, God has taught me to live in this day and make the best of it. Even in silence, God is working on our behalf. Hold tight to the promise of God and don't let go of keeping your faith alive.
I sometimes turn off my TV and just listen to quiet. In that quiet time, I choose to thank God for all good things. I also thank him for hard things. It is the hard things that I have seen his power move. I've seen miracles of health, jobs, housing and more. I heard stories of miracles of others too. God is good all the time and all the time God is good. However, we might not feel like good when we are in need. Trust the Lord at all times.
Proverbs 3:5-6 New International Version (NIV)5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends. Purpose this a good day!
