Genesis 1:1 New International Version (NIV)
The Beginning
1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
IN THE QUIET ~
God began to create things in heavens and earth.
Psalm 119:10-16 New International Version (NIV)
10 I seek you with all my heart;
do not let me stray from your commands.
11 I have hidden your word in my heart
that I might not sin against you.
12 Praise be to you, Lord;
teach me your decrees.
13 With my lips I recount
all the laws that come from your mouth.
14 I rejoice in following your statutes
as one rejoices in great riches.
15 I meditate on your precepts
and consider your ways.
16 I delight in your decrees;
I will not neglect your word.
IN THE QUIET ~
I seek you with all my heart
It is in the quiet I feel the peace of God. I have learned to trust him through each season of life. His word says, not to neglect his word (Bible). It is in his word we find hope and peace. I like to read over scriptures that helps me feel hope of a new day and peace. It is good to turn your TV off and just listen to the quiet.
Psalm 46:10 New International Version (NIV)
10 He says, “Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth.”
There are days that I open my doors to hear the birds sing outside. I begin to count blessings of my life. I see how life has changed and how important it is, to keep my mind focused on the positive things of life. Lets talk how God parted the sea so people could cross. Noah gathered his family, animals two by two to two and listen to God's voice. The woman at the well had a brand new beginning, while she listen to Jesus. The blind man could see again. The list goes on and on through the Bible stories of lives changed by God. In the quiet, I am convinced that God speaks to our hearts as we read his word. Keep the faith and press forward. Keep your eyes upon God.
BE STILL AND KNOW I AM GOD ~ Psalm 46:10 (NIV)
As a new day begins, take time to open your Bible and find a verse that spurs you on today. A verse of hope, love and peace. In the quiet, I know God is with me. My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
