22 “The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light. 23 But if your eyes are unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness! 24 “No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.
IN MY EYES ~
The eye is the lamp of the body.
Through my eyes, I see things different today than I did years ago. I have grown in the word of God and in my daily life. I see the importance of grabbing a daily scripture of hope, peace and love. I see the importance of speaking good words and living a life of kindness. I see how God has planted people in my life that understand my heart. I have a heart of good intentions and there is no motive of getting anything back. I just like helping people and living my life for Jesus. God can see our every action of life.
Proverbs 15:3 New International Version (NIV)
The eyes of the Lord are everywhere,
keeping watch on the wicked and the good.
IN MY EYES ~
I had someone tell me they know what my nick name is Sparkie. She said there is something in my eyes that light up. I had the privilege to speak at Women Engaged in Recovery last night. I heard some stories of life and it helped me eye life through their eyes. Women who are determined to connect together and grow stronger. God has open my eyes to pray even more for women. I mention something about being little and I saw the pain in some of their eyes. Being little was not a good thing and I spoke about my own childhood too. I was bullied as a kid, I cried myself to sleep many nights and I didn't like school at all. It only meant pain and I found myself not wanting to learn, because I was scared to say a word. I had a teacher who made the kids laugh because I couldn't spell a word in 4th grade and that planted in my heart. I can now see the fear in eyes of a child when ask to speak in class or read a story.
In our lives, our childhood does affect our future. We must learn to let go of somethings of life and live in freedom of a new day. Each of our own choices makes a difference in our lives and others lives. We can be that example to someone who doesn't go to church or doesn't believe in God. Our own tongue can speak life to someone.
Proverbs 18:21 New International Version (NIV)The tongue has the power of life and death,
and those who love it will eat its fruit.
SPEAK LIFE ~
Let someone know you need prayer and connect with others in a positive way.
Life is so short and our eyes continue to tell a story. I hope that mine always shine for Jesus and others can feel that. I like that God uses my pain of life to help others. I have been through far more than I ever talk about in life. I've made mistakes and I carry scares. I've made good choices and I let them shine. I know hat God is able to meet you exactly where you are at. I feel hope today and I hope you do too.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
