GOD'S WILL ~
Give thanks in all circumstances
Luke 9:23-24 New International Version (NIV)
Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me. 24 For whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for me will save it.
COUNT BLESSINGS ~
We just need to see what we do have in life
When I was a younger person, I began to hear more about Jesus. I didn't realize that I needed to take on his character. A peace maker and a person who forgives others. All of my pain as a kid and young adult I could let go of, but how. The first step was me asking God into my heart and the next was forgiving. It began a process of change and it took time to forgive. Even today, I think about how some people just do wrong things and say hurtful words.
I am a person who likes kindness and wants to be a peacemaker. If years have gone by and you continue to play over the negative, do your best to stop it. Playing over things you can do nothing about only affects you. Don't allow the negative to hold you back. Freedom of mind is a great gift you can give yourself. Purpose positive thoughts and I know that is easier said than done.
I have talked to people who don't see the blessings in their life. They see the things they don't have and that's a mistake. I can see the importance of seeing blessings. The blessings of a new day, having good health, a job, a home where you are out in the cold, and people who care. The list of blessings can go on and on. Sometimes we need someone to point out what we do have in life. I was talking with someone who said this about me, "I would like to be you because what I see you have, I want. That would be a family, peace, wisdom, and do you know you just bring joy into a room". Wow, I didn't realize that I bought joy into a room. Her words made my heart come alive and see more than I realized. I do have an amazing family and I do purpose joy.
I count blessings of you today. I write and pray daily for you, your family and friends because I care. I want to share little hope and positive words for a new day. The holidays can often show us what we don't have instead of what we do have in life. Take some time today to see what you do have in life and give thanks.
