He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.”
FAITH ~ as small a mustard seed.
I only need a little faith.......
A person of faith knows that nothing is impossible with God. It is their determination to keep God number one. I have learned over time that faith comes by hearing and I've heard many miracles stories of the power of God. I have learned to speak up and not allow anyone to silence my voices when God says speak. I've become a different person over time.
As a child, I recall a time my mom took me to church and I heard a message on faith. I heard that God could do anything and my child like mind believed it. It was soon after that message, I got hit on the head and was bleeding. I cried for my mom to call that pastor because he had faith. The Pastor and his wife came to pray. It was a deep cut but they didn't think it needed stitches. In a few hours, my mom decided to look at it. She said it was only a mark that was there and as she decided to clean it again. She was shocked as the mark wiped off and the hole was closed up. My dad said that was impossible but he looked to find the same results.
I AM A WOMAN OF FAITH ~
Planted at young age the story of a miracle and yet my mom stopped going to church. I only had that one message in my mind and it only took that one message for a lifetime of trusting God. I had someone tell me they knew I was a woman of faith because they watched me walk through this......This can be whatever I am facing now. A few years ago, my mom feel on Christmas Day and broke her hip. She was in her early 80's and living independently. She would end up in a care home and less than year later would enter Heaven. During the same time, my mother in law would enter this same care place and would enter Heaven less than a year after my mom did. My husband and I would stay faithful going there daily and doing our best. I would get to know some of the workers and began to pray for their lives. God connects people for purpose.
Life would press forward and I would be challenged by own faith. I would watch my daughter get married and a year later loose her first child to Heaven. The Napa fires would come in their second year of marriage and take away their house filled with precious things. The third year she would have health issues but God gave her a healing miracle. Prayer changes things and God gave her the desire of her heart a baby girl named Averie. Their house is being rebuilt now and ready next year. So thankful that had insurance to cover it.
OUR CHARACTER ~
Maybe things do not turn out the way we think, but there is always another way. God's way and his plan continues to unfold each day of our lives. If we could only have the faith as small as a mustard seed. My own choices of life have changed the direction of life. I've made mistakes and I've gone back to God for his loving grace and mercy. Each of us have sinned and we need God in our lives. Not only God, we need others in our lives. Community of friendships and encouragers too.
I feel God say this, "I've watched you walk through this....and you are an overcomer by the word of your own testimony". I heard that God saves, Jesus Loves me and people care about about me. I feel the love of others and see the love of God. Nobody is perfect but we can all walk by faith and make a difference in a new day. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.
I have seen many miracles of life. I have walked through the death of my dad, my mom, my brother, grand-baby, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. We sold the house we loved so much because of bad planning with money in our early 30's. My husband feel over 40 feet in 1985 at work and we would struggle as a family for the next year. The loss of jobs, homes, money, cars and why is life a struggle. I sit here today at 63 years old and can honestly tell you that God is good to us. He is faithful as I am faithful back to him. I've seen miracles of health, jobs, and new beginnings. I find the JOY of the Lord is my strength and I know he is able to handle anything. My attitude is everything and so is yours.
Giving God some praise through hard stuff and seeing that only God knows every moment we travel. He knows our beginning and our end. What will people remember about me after I enter Heaven? I hope that would be a woman of faith and determination to do the right thing in life. Even when it's hard or scary, I will purpose to do it afraid. Life is a challenge and let us be up for that challenge of faith. This too shall pass and God restores lives. He sets new beginnings in process everyday. Go ahead and trust beyond a human understanding and let God be God in your life.
My thoughts and prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
