Psalm 145:18-19 New International Version (NIV)
18 The Lord is near to all who call on him,
to all who call on him in truth.
19 He fulfills the desires of those who fear him;
he hears their cry and saves them.
GOD has always been there for me. So much of my life has been filled with sorrows, disappointments and negative. But so much of my life has been amazing and full of the grace of God. Throughout times, we will grow through disappointments and we will learn things never to do again.
1 John 2:1 (NIV)
My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father--Jesus Christ, the Righteous One.
We must realize who has always been available for us. It becomes time to count blessings and see how far God has brought you. God has been there all the time and let us not forget that. I purpose daily time to thank God for my life and guiding me.
Matthew 22:37-39 (NIV)
Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’
Proverbs 18:24 (NIV)
One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
I WAS THERE FOR YOU ~
In life, I've have people who are totally here for me. I can count blessings of their lives and their encouragement beyond words. I have learned that Jesus is a real friend and he stays! He walked this earth generations ago and his example still remains the same. He went about doing his Father's will and sharing hope with others. I find myself learning daily from my own life and the life of others.
I have found myself wondering about life yesterday. I look back to see how different I was in my 30's. I totally understand when people would say this, "I wish I knew then, what I know now". The real question is, "would I change anything"? I often wonder if I had made a different choice, would it change who I am inside. I'm not saying I always made right choices, but that I wonder at times. I guess there are things in our lives we wish were different and wishing we had done things different. I must trust God that he brought me through it all to become a better person and not bitter.
WHEN I WAKE UP ~
I am so glad to see another day.
The joy of the Lord becomes my strength.
Here we are, beginning a new day and ready to handle whatever we face today. I remember reading that even David (in the Bible) made mistakes and he had times of encouraging himself. He knew to reach out to God. So many examples in the Bible and so many examples in my own life. Guard your heart my friends and it often helps to count blessings. Some of you may need to press through some hard times, maybe fears of doctor's appointment, loss of job, needing a car or whatever it is. Just know that God is always there.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
