ENCOURAGEMENT ~

Isaiah 41:10-13 New International Version (NIV)
10 So do not fear, for I am with you;
    do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
    I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
11 “All who rage against you
    will surely be ashamed and disgraced;
those who oppose you
    will be as nothing and perish.
12 Though you search for your enemies,
    you will not find them.
Those who wage war against you
    will be as nothing at all.
13 For I am the Lord your God
    who takes hold of your right hand
and says to you, Do not fear;
    I will help you.

SEASONS CHANGE US ~
God remains the same through generation to generation.

It was about 15 years ago when I realized God had called me to teach to women.  I stepped into that calling in 2004 and have continued to press forward.  It has been countless lives that have attending the classes I have taught.  I have learned so much from the women who have came to my class.  Plus, I have made amazing friendships.  I have grown from my yes to God.  It has never been about me, but my yes to God.

I am a woman who has been through much pain, heartbreak and saw unbelievable things.  Things that were great to see and other things that were not so great to see.  God has been good to me through it all.  I can see how seasons change us and bring us closer to God.  Your yes to God, is more valuable than you might realize.  It will not only bless you, but so many others.

I also feel the call to speak at women events.  My story is one of encouragement and I know it.  The things I have gone through in life, helps others and gives hope too.  I have people who trust me in telling me secrets and asking for prayer.  They know that I will pray and I won't tell anymore but God. Being trustworthy is important too.  I was in a place about 20 years ago, where I shut myself off from people.  I stayed mostly inside my house and felt fear to step outside.  It was because I was judged wrongly and I couldn't seem to overcome a few people.  I learned a big lesson, never let a few people stop you from anything in life. God has bigger plans and had I kept my life inside my house, I wouldn't be who I am today.  I resisted through the wrong words, being judged wrong and pressing to God.  He became my source and strength of life.  Janice is a friend who stuck by me and kept praying.  She not only prayed for me, but came to my house to showed me to step out again.  The prayers of others make a difference and I will forever be grateful to Janice my buddy.

Psalm 139:14 New International Version (NIV)

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
    your works are wonderful,
    I know that full well.

Each of us are designed by God.  Unique and different for God to use our lives.  God will use your story to help someone else too.  People relate to my life and they will relate to your life too.  Yesterday, I was at an event for single moms. Debbie Heden, the head of women's ministry for Assembly of God headed this beautiful event.   I volunteered to help there and I was so blessed.  I heard words on the flip side of life and each story was different.  I saw how some moms were shy and didn't want to speak up.  Other moms did speak up and their words were common among our table of women.  Each one wanting  God to help and show them how to be a better mom.  Yet, feeling so alone at times and how important it was to see other women in their same place of life. This event pampered them with free shopping, free haircuts and nails.  Also a beautiful luncheon, message from the heart and a comedian.  It was amazing and I heard women say how great it made them feel.  It was a chance to make a difference and I am so blessed that I could volunteer.

Community brings us together.  Community of different people and different walks of life. God has connected us through this blog for purpose too.  You are designed for this day to make a difference.  Making a positive difference in your life, your community, your church, and the list goes on.  God uses our mistakes, our positive actions and just being you.  Keep pressing toward God and allow him to mold you daily into a better person.  Not only a better person but enjoy this life you have been given.

My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
