Romans 12:1-2 New International Version (NIV)
A Living Sacrifice
Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
A MADE UP MIND ~
Letting God lead the way is sometimes harder than you might think. Letting go of things and trusting in a big God who created it all. I find myself looking back at situations of life and seeing how God had to turn somethings I wanted, into a better plan than I thought.
Life and death will happen to each of us. There is no doubt about that statement at all. It is the in between stages of life that brings us change of normals and we are tested in our faith. Will you hold on while God works? I had a time when I let go of what God wanted. The pain of seeing some people who called themselves Christians in the way they handle things, but guess what? I realized that people with titles are people too. They make mistakes and judge others wrongly. If I continued to judge them for the way they treated me, then I am wrong. The Bible says not to judge and that's a big statement.
Matthew 7:1-2 New International Version (NIV)
Do not judge, or you too will be judged. 2 For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.
I MADE IT ~
I asked God to take away any wrong thoughts and feelings I had to the people who hurt me with words. You can forgive someone without putting them back into your life. God took all the negative away and replaced it with peace. I don't think about the hurtful words anymore but sometimes they pop up. When they pop up, it's my job to cast them down.
2 Corinthians 10:5-7 New International Version (NIV)We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. 6 And we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience, once your obedience is complete.
7 You are judging by appearances. If anyone is confident that they belong to Christ, they should consider again that we belong to Christ just as much as they do.
It's a new day filled with opportunities to shine for Jesus. Go ahead and allow him the freedom to mold you daily into a better person. Let go of what you can't change my friends and do what you can. My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
