HAPPY BIRTHDAY JESUS ~

It was a day like another day in Bethlehem and little did some now a savior would be born.  People would hear of him before his arrival and after his arrival.  Still today, we read about him and tell others how Jesus came to make a difference in lives.

Jesus came:
John 3:17  New International Version (NIV)
For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.

I often think of Jesus as a baby in a manger and the one who came to save people.  My granddaughter Brookley, when she was about 3-4 years old said, "happy birthday baby G-US".  I took her to church and she heard a story about the man who build his house upon the sand and the rains came.  She did the hand motions and listen close. She went home to tell her mom and dad. Read the story:

Matthew 7:24-27  New International Version (NIV)
The Wise and Foolish Builders
“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practiceis like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”

I HAVE GOOD NEWS ~
You have free will to choose to believe in Jesus or not

Brookley still tells the story of building your house on the ROCK.  The rock being Jesus and she loves her church.  When she was also this same age, we would drive down a small hill to our church.  She would say, "OMG it's my church".  Just a little kid who believes in Jesus and loves to sing in the Christmas plays at church.  I see how taking children to church, plants stories and hopes of the future. It also connects them with kids and joys of seeing each other. It's not just for kids, but adults.

How about you?  Have you found that place of peace in your life?  Does Christmas mean more than just gifts under a tree?  Santa and the season of busyness?  Living without a purpose and the big wonder of what's next?  There is a peace beyond a human understanding that rest in God.  People believe different and that's okay. It is whom you believe in and where your trust rest that counts. I totally believe in God and I know the stories with one book called the Bible are real.

I HAVE GOOD NEWS ~
Your own free will can turn your path to greater

1 John 4:4  New International Version (NIV)You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

Once I gave my heart to God, I started a learning process of thinking difference.  I believe the one who lives inside of me, guides me.  The truth is I made mistakes in life.  I say I don't have regrets but sometimes I do.  Regrets of my choices affecting others.  I never meant to hurt anyone with my own choices but I did.  The truth faces me when I look into a mirror in my soul.  God forgave me and forgets it.  I remind myself and then I feel tears comes inside to appear on the outside.  Long ago times were different than today.  I grew up on the angry side of life.  I didn't like being little kid and being teased so much.  I was told I wasn't good enough to be in things and that hurt still remains.  I push it back, but I ask Jesus to help me see myself the way he does and walk in that daily.  Daily I make a choice to see my life positive and it does affect others in a good way.

I HAVE GOOD NEWS ~
Your own choices of thoughts, matter.  You can control them and live in the land of peace.  Let your past be the past and grow from it.  Learning daily and purpose your life to be positive to yourself too.  Speak words of life and live in kindness. It's my choice and I hope it's your choice. Jesus came to save me and he did.  Jesus came to save you too.

Merry Christmas and thank you for reading my blog.  Happy Birthday baby G-US and thank you for giving me words to write.  My prayers continue for the readers of my blog (YOU, your family and friends).
