TREAT EACH OTHER KIND ~
1 Peter 4:8-11 (NIV)
Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. 9 Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. 10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.
11 If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.
I GET IT ~
God loves me
Throughout life, I've had moments that made me wonder about God and the next step when I was younger. I've learned to walk by faith and not sight on many things. God is a promise keeper and it is important to keep your mind stayed upon God. To many things can sway our thoughts and it's important to purpose time with God, listen closely and walk in his grace.
My thoughts and actions are more important than I might realize. I often speak of how someone watches your life. It's so true, because even strangers watch us. I was at Six Flags (amusement park) and I listen to a woman in line. She was listening to a teenage girl speaking harshly in her face. The woman didn't say too much to her, but as the teenager walked away, her words were harsh. The woman said, "I hate her, I really do". I wasn't sure if that was her mom, but she clearly was with this woman. Wow I was shocked and my heart felt sorrow that people actually speak to each other in bad words. It brought me back to this question, when will adults be adults and teach? The man behind me said, "if I was that child, I would have been on the ground if I talked to an adult like that. I guess times have changed".
TIMES HAVE CHANGED ~
Let us not forgive to teach and lead by example
I heard a question, when will older people, stop giving up on life and live an example before younger people the right way? Such a strong question and true. I am older enough to see the importance of one life and time. I can not change yesterdays for anyone or myself, but I certainly can change my today! My actions and words matter. Your actions and words matter too!
Set your mindset to the promises of God. Not everything will turn out the way we think it will. We will learn from mistakes and we will grow if we allow God freedom to grow us. Let us not forget kindness in our everyday travels. Be someone that shows the love of God through your life. I might not understand everything, but I do understand that God is faithful as I am faithful. Purpose this a good day!
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends!
