1 Samuel 30:6 New International Version (NIV)
David was greatly distressed because the men were talking of stoning him; each one was bitter in spirit because of his sons and daughters. But David found strength in the Lord his God.
The why was less important than my finding strength in the Lord my God like David did. The first step is giving you life to God and then trusting the process of change. Change is a huge thing for me because I've seen major things happen in life. I can't imagine how David felt when he heard men wanted to stone him. The Bible said that each one was bitter in spirit. God can change a bitter person and I know this too well. Like I said before I was frustrated and growing bitter over things in my life. I didn't like the way things were going and I had to make a decision. A decision to surrender all my heart to God. There was no room for bitterness and better. Letting go of somethings actually bought a new life to me.
Bible scriptures to hold onto in life:
PSALM 37:4 (NIV)
Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.
Proverbs 17:22 New International Version (NIV)
A cheerful heart is good medicine,
but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.
Philippians 4:13 New International Version (NIV)
I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
Positive words and scriptures of hope, brings us a new way of thinking. It doesn't mean there won't be days we might question, but let it not overwhelm you in wonder of why. I can look back on younger years and see how each day was consumed with why instead of living. Living is a choice and what we do with a day is important. God has gifted us life and each day is another chance to make a huge difference not only in your life but others. Your life becomes like a lighthouse to someone and maybe their way to Jesus. Who knows what a day will bring but God.
Psalm 119:133 New International Version (NIV)
Direct my footsteps according to your word;
let no sin rule over me.
Thinking is a good thing, but over thinking is not always healthy to you. We can loose the hope of change and we must keep that hope alive. I was talking with a younger person and his health has taken a hard road of life. He is keeping his hope alive but feel alone in it. People don't always tell us the depth of their story and just need the Jesus in us to spur them on. Look around you today and who can you give some hope too in life? Sharing scriptures of hope helps, but honestly, we need to talk to someone. Talking can be so helpful at times. If you feel alone, reach out to someone who will listen. We don't always want advice or help, we just want someone to listen to us.
I DON'T KNOW WHY ~
I heard a song that says: "I don't why Jesus loves me, but he does". As the song repeated, I felt the love that God gives to us through Jesus. When you trust someone, you don't need to know everything. I have learned to trust the Lord through it all and call out to him in prayer plus praise.
As this new day begins, my prayers are with you, your family and friends. I know that things change and change isn't always easy. In some changes of life, God has brought the best to my life. Purpose this a good day, share life with those you care about and let God use you in new ways too. After all, we never know what can happen in one day.
