Proverbs 3:5-6 New International Version (NIV)5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight.
When Terry's accident happen, we both were 30 years old. So young and facing so many decisions. Terry never wavered from trusting the Lord or talking about faith. I remember how he would spend an hour in prayer and I barely could pray five minutes. I have learned a lot from him concerning the Lord. He started going to church as a kid and found Jesus to be a true friend deep inside of him. I'm talking about him today because he is a man of faith. Through situations of life, we need a friend who is strong in Lord and knows where to go in times of trouble. He knows to go to the Lord, pray and seek God.
Each of my kids were hurt as some point. The point in needing Jesus to do a miracle of life for them. Terry would say let's pray and call others to pray. He taught me that when our son was 2 years old and a crazy sickness hit his body. The doctor's said he had only a few days to live, but God came on the scene and he is doing well today. He also has two girls of his own, a beautiful wife and house. Our daughter has gone through many things as well. Finding God to be her source of strength and holding on when her brain bleed happen. She just moved back into her house this past weekend. The Napa first over 2 years ago, took her family house away.
I'm sharing today that things happen to each of us, but God's power is huge. He can turn situations around and make a way when it seems to be no way. I've seen miracles and I hold tight to prayer, praise and not let go of what I believe. My husband went back to work in the 1980's and was able to be a carpenter. We sold that little house to buy a big house. A dream to come true and added birds to our life. I love the sound of birds, but one of my kids was allergic and we had to get rid of them.
Let's read this verse again:
Proverbs 3:5-6 New International Version (NIV)
5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
6 in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight
TRUST ~
Trust in the Lord with ALL your heart and you might not understanding, but allow God the freedom to make you, grow you and direct you. Later in life you will look back to see how God carried you at moments that seemed impossible. But here you are today, a stronger person and still counting on God. It is good when God shows us things, but it is also good when we don't see the big picture. Hold tight to faith, God's promises and know that people watch your life. Your example might be the only Jesus someone else can see.
I DO MY BEST ~
Happy new day and I'm praying for you, your family and friends.
