Philippians 4:4-8 New International Version (NIV)
4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! 5 Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. 6 Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
Positive thinking can take us a long way. It is like seeing a glass half full of water. Is it really have full or half empty? It's the way we look at things that make the difference. I will take this point right into how you view yourself in life. Each of us have gone through hardships and test of life. Each of us have free will and able to make decisions today. Nobody knows what this day will exactly bring, but we make our plans and hope in the Lord daily. I find myself seeing the blessings of life daily now. My number of the age thing keeps going up, just like yours. I am not who I used to be and I am so glad about that. I find myself living in peace of mind and knowing somethings I just can not change.
As I open it up, I find amazing grace for my life and forgiveness by God.
There was a time in life when I thought I was done going to church and trying again. My soul was hurt by words of others and my heart broken. God has a plan through it all and I find myself today stronger than ever. I love attending my church and finding healing there. Over 18 years ago, my daughter invited me to Hillside Christian Church in Napa and it's been a life saver for my soul. I find true friendships and people who truly care. More than that, I find myself able to help others through the pains of my own life. Nothing is too big for God and new beginnings can happen. Not everyone see's things the way you do or I do. We are created different for a reason and I know that. Over the years, we can grow into that better person of life and live fully in God's plan.
What's holding you back from surrender? Maybe you have surrendered all of you to God and that's a great thing. I just felt to ask you to try again if you are stuck in a hard spot of life. God can not give you his best, unless you give him your life. I do care and I promise I pray daily for you, your family and friends. I might not know who reads this, but I call unto about for the readers of my blog. That means your name is there! God is a good God and I've seen too much to doubt his power.
