Each of us is called to do something!
"We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man's gift if prophesying, let him use it in proportion to his faith. It'll it is serving, let him serve; if it is teaching, let him teach; if it is encouraging, let him encourage; if it is contributing to the needs of others, let him give generously; if it is leadership, let him govern diligently; if it is showing mercy; let him do it cheerfully." ~ Romans 12:6-8
Last night, I took this picture as the sun set at my church. I attend Hillside Christian Church in Napa CA. God has given us a beautiful place to worship at and to grow together. Connections made by God are so important. The Napa Valley is just beautiful too. I co-lead a group of Women on Wednesday nights and I spoke about the importance of being you.
Life brings us each to new places of life. I recalled some miracles of my life and also so sorrows of life. As we grow older, we have those wish I had moments and need to cast some away. There is simply nothing you can do about some situations of life, but today is a new day. Seeing a sunset is beautiful but also seeing a sun rise of amazing.
What is God calling you to do in life? Maybe you don't know exactly but you feel a tugging on your heart. Showing kindness to others goes a long way, but showing kindness to yourself is important. I had times of life when I treated others far better than myself. I have grown into a different person and that's a good thing. I have learned to let go of things I can not change and do my best daily. Pray for God to show you how to handle this day. Often life goes so quickly and we don't realize it until we see a picture. A picture of being young and now older. It's not about a number today, but about a lifestyle of happy heart. When you put Jesus in the middle of your heart, you can deal with life easier and know you learn that God has this. Plant your seed of hope today and see blessings in your life.
Mark 4:30-34 New International Version
The Parable of the Mustard Seed
30 Again he said, “What shall we say the kingdom of God is like, or what parable shall we use to describe it? 31 It is like a mustard seed, which is the smallest of all seeds on earth. 32 Yet when planted, it grows and becomes the largest of all garden plants, with such big branches that the birds can perch in its shade.”
33 With many similar parables Jesus spoke the word to them, as much as they could understand. 34 He did not say anything to them without using a parable. But when he was alone with his own disciples, he explained everything.
God speaks to us in different ways. Be still and know that God is working in your life. Take action and move into a new day with hope. You are not alone and so connected to this website for a reason. I thank you for taking the time to read this and pass it along. God is a good God and we all go through seasons of chance.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends!
