BIBLE: Put your hope in God
PSALM 42:1-5 (NIV)
1 As the deer pants for streams of water,
so my soul pants for you, my God.
2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
When can I go and meet with God?
3 My tears have been my food
day and night,
while people say to me all day long,
“Where is your God?”
4 These things I remember
as I pour out my soul:
how I used to go to the house of God
under the protection of the Mighty One
with shouts of joy and praise
among the festive throng.
5 Why, my soul, are you downcast?
Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
for I will yet praise him,
my Savior and my God.
I like that the Bible says to PUT your HOPE in God.
The journey of life continues and days we feel great but other days we feel a little cast down. Situations can overpower us and feelings come rushing in. The Bible says to put your hope in God, for I will praise him. It was purposed time to give thanks to God in situations that can be hard. Think about it, it's easy to praise God when everything is going great. It's a little harder when we can't feel the purpose or the why of something in life. We are human and must go back to trusting God through it all.
Psalm 46:1 New International Version (NIV)God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble.
Seasons change and lets remember the goodness of yesterday. Let us feel the hope of a new day and make great choices. God continues to be God while giving you free will to choose. Choose to live in this day, but plan for tomorrow. My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
