To cherish a desire with anticipation: to want something to happen or be true.
Jeremiah 29:11 New International Version (NIV)
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Hope comes alive when you allow God to renew your life. Not everything turns out the way we think it will. I go back to Adam and Eve to see how the enemy of their souls tricked them. Eve listen to the enemy of did exactly what God said not to do in life. I look back on my own life and see how I did things I should have never done. I am thankful that it wasn't written in the Bible or remember a million years ago. How about you? Think of things you wish you had not done but you did? I think from children to adults, there are situations we could have left alone. For example:
I remember being a kid and throwing a rock. That rock went into my neighbor screen door and made a hole. I ran quickly away while my bother stood there to take the blame. He was in so much trouble and he kept saying to my parents, "
I didn't do it, Janet did". It wasn't until we were adult that I told my mom I did it. She was shocked and so mad at me for lying. I didn't look at it as lying, I just didn't want to get in trouble. The crazy thing was this, troubled filled my soul as I heard my brother cry. I made peace with him in older years over this lie but it never felt quite right. I knew I was wrong in the beginning and that made it even worse.
As a new day begins, I think about the hope we have in Jesus and how he truly forgives us. He never reminds of our mistakes or makes a book for the Bible Book of Janet. He does want us to turn our lives over to him and allow him freedom to make us new again. Freedom in right thinking and letting go of what we can not change. I might say that way too much but I like to remind us that freedom comes in our minds. What we often think, we become in life. I think healthy today and I know that words are powerful. So I begin with myself saying this, "I have hope in this day and I will propose it the best I can".
I have heard people say this, "Keep hope alive".
What do you hope for today and truly need God to answer quickly? Turn it to him now and rest in knowing his timing is perfect. It can be hard, but you are an overcomer and the Bible says that. Leaning not to your own understanding but just grateful for another new day. I know that life can be hard and I've been there myself so many times. Times of frustration and loosing hope in a certain circumstance but calling back my faith and knowing I've seen miracles sure helps. Not only miracles written in the Bible but in my own family. I know that God restores, completes and purposes new beginnings.
I hope today you will see yourself the way God does and press forward.
Philippians 3:14-15 King James Version (KJV)14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.
My prayers continue for you, your families and friends.
