KNOW THE WORD OF GOD ~
Plant the words of the Bible inside your heart. This helps you know right from wrong. The devil comes to tempt us in different areas of life. It becomes time to use a scripture to guard you.
John 10:1-10 (NIV)
The Good Shepherd and His Sheep
10 “Very truly I tell you Pharisees, anyone who does not enter the sheep pen by the gate, but climbs in by some other way, is a thief and a robber. 2 The one who enters by the gate is the shepherd of the sheep. 3 The gatekeeper opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out.
4 When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. 5 But they will never follow a stranger; in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger’s voice.” 6 Jesus used this figure of speech, but the Pharisees did not understand what he was telling them.
7 Therefore Jesus said again, “Very truly I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep. 8 All who have come before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep have not listened to them. 9 I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
HIDE IT ~
The devil comes only to steal and kill and destroy! It is all link together to harm you!
God comes for you to have life, and have it to the full!
Life is different for each of us. We might need to handle something today that you never thought of in life. You might be celebrating the best time ever. Each day is happening new and our choices matter. Never want to be anyone else, be yourself! You never know what someone had to go through in life to be who they are today!
Jesus said, "I AM THE GATE".
Open the right doors in life and never let the devil take you away from the plan of God. Believe big and know that your prayers matter. You matter and greater things are ahead. Life isn't always measured by an age, but about time. The time you spend on thinking great thoughts and believing big in life. Turning those negative thoughts into positive ones. Changing life for the best and not become bitter though seasons of change. It takes work on your part and my part, but so worth it.
I have felt sad in life and gone through many sorrows. I have also gone through much happiness and seeing some dreams come true. A mixture of both, but if I am not careful, I will stay on a sad thought too much. It takes renewing my mind as Romans 12:1-2 tells us:
Romans 12:1-2 (NIV)A Living Sacrifice
12 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
YES ~ changing your mindset is important!
I do care and I know it's harder than it sounds. Pushing through to new beginnings is also changing an old normal. Sadness is real and speaking words of life to yourself totally helps. I watched my mom for years fight depression. I never quite understood her sorrow, but as I got older, I understand it more. I never knew how to help her, but my daughter is a mental health counselor and through some of her words, it helped me to understand my mom. My mom is in heaven now and the battle is over for her. I understand this saying now, "I wish I knew then, what I know now".
As I grow older, I do my best daily to stay positive. I do realize that negative hits us all and a season for all things. Be careful in the amount of time you let sorrow stay and lift your soul by music, prayer and connecting with someone. It's not good to stay alone in feeling alone.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends. Life is measure in moments and so much changes over one's lifetime. I value your life and taking time in reading this. As I plant scripture in my heart, I know when to call one up when I'm facing hard issues or even good issues. God is faithful and I know that!
