For the director of music. With stringed instruments. Of David.
1 Hear my cry, O God;
listen to my prayer.
2 From the ends of the earth I call to you,
I call as my heart grows faint;
lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
3 For you have been my refuge,
a strong tower against the foe.
4 I long to dwell in your tent forever
and take refuge in the shelter of your wings.
5 For you, God, have heard my vows;
you have given me the heritage of those who fear your name.
6 Increase the days of the king’s life,
his years for many generations.
7 May he be enthroned in God’s presence forever;
appoint your love and faithfulness to protect him.
8 Then I will ever sing in praise of your name
and fulfill my vows day after day.
HEAR MY CRY, O GOD ~
Throughout life, we need family and friends. I was home yesterday morning and received the above Bible Chapter of Psalm 61 in a text message. It was early and perfect timing. God knows what we need to hear. I suddenly realized how much this message meant to me. I grabbed onto these verses and read it over throughout the day. Verse 8 ~ Then I will ever sing in praise of your name and fulfill my vows day after day. I thought I would share it with you today.
Things in life can get hard. A bit overwhelming at times and yes the wonder of it all plays inside my head. I am human and trust in a big God through it all. Each day holds it's own beauty and sorrows. Some ups and downs that continue for more than one day. Just he wonder of how long will this last and God do you really hear my heart? Then I read, Psalm 61 again, you heard my cry God!
VOW ~ a solemn promise
Day after day, we carry out the vow we made to God and he will carry out the vow he made to us. Giving us free will daily to do what is right. Even when we make mistakes in life, we can find his grace and mercy upon our lives. Watching things change in our lives is not always easy. We find ourselves at a new normal and we begin again. It's normal to question why, but do not let that question of why stick in your head. Just know that free will gets us into situations we never wanted but happened. Then God helps us feel his peace through it all if we allow him too. I've been in places just like this and I know that it takes time to move forward. Often a deep breathe and here I go happens.
I pray for you, your family and friends. God knows exactly what you need or even want. As we watch things change around us like weather, maybe a job, health issues, money issues or just the praise of thankfulness. Praising God through it all is important and remembering that each person goes through hard times and good times. All mixed together to find God as a source of strength and that secret place of your heart. He moves in ways we don't always understanding and yet ways that are perfect. Allow your promise to God be real and stay faithful through it all. I know it's hard but I wouldn't be where I am today if I quit believing in miracles.
Miracles might not always be what you think. I look back in my life and I can see God working through it all. Thanking God for new beginnings, family and friends. I am glad that God connect our lives through words on this page and to some of you, in person! I value friendships and your time. Have a bless day and continue to count blessings.
