HEAR ME ROAR ~
The bible speak of a lion as the enemy of our soul. One go goes about looking for someone to destroy. God speaks of ways we can fight the enemy of our soul. It's not a physical lion, but it's a good example because a lion is strong and doesn't appear to be afraid. We need the have the courage as a lion and be determined that the devil is not going to destroy our soul.
My example today is this: I went to a great women's service yesterday, I actually wrote about it on my blog. Read my post from yesterday and excitement just filled my soul. Then Sunday came and I went to church. One of the best messages I have ever heard and felt the excitement once again in my soul. I helped in kids ministries during the next service and it was fun. I went to lunch with a few friends and we talked about how we could improve somethings for women. I got a terrible headache, came home to frustrations in my home and just kept getting worse. I went to bed early and I woke up with this message on my heart. The enemy wants to stop you from doing your book. The enemy wants to stop you from helping others. I saw a lion in my head and began to write this message.
We must realize that we are stronger than we think. We also fight a real devil who wants to stop us. One reason is this, if he can stop you, then he stops ministry. He stops your example to others and it's not going to happen my friend. I am determined to rise up like a lion and hear me roars. The devil can only lie and the truth is not in him. It is good to listen to others and people who have gone on before us. They are walked in valleys, mountains and know the voice of God. I felt to share these scriptures:
1 Peter 5 New International Version (NIV)To the Elders and the Flock
5 To the elders among you, I appeal as a fellow elder and a witness of Christ’s sufferings who also will share in the glory to be revealed: 2 Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve; 3 not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. 4 And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away.
5 In the same way, you who are younger, submit yourselves to your elders. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because,
“God opposes the proud
but shows favor to the humble.”
6 Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. 7 Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
8 Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 9 Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.
10 And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. 11 To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.
HEAR ME ROAR ~
Take back your roar. Stand up for what is right and don't pull back. You are an overcomer of all things. The Bible says that and you are chosen by him to do his plan. Maybe you might be a little unsure of what his plan is, but he will show you in time. Take time to pray, to praise and to give thanks. Remind yourself of greater things ahead. You can do this day with courage and there is nothing to be afraid of today. You are facing with God and his power.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends!
