Disneyland is considered the happiest place on earth. Yet, I found myself there with the deepest of sorrows after my mom had just died. It's crazy how people look like each other and not related. It's crazy how one color (PINK) reminds me of my mom. It's crazy how one Raiders Jacket reminds me of my brother. So even in the happiest place on earth, there are reminders of others. It takes us to purpose our minds to stay in peace and press through some hard things. Living in a new moment of life brings new memories too. I'm so happy I have my family who cares about me and friends.
IMAGINATION ~
Is huge and has no age. We can think and dream of a better today. Knowing that yesterdays of life taught us things and we can grow from learning experiences of life. I always say this, "become better and not bitter".
Walt Disney had a dream and it grew larger on a daily bases. Within him was a simply little mouse scratch and he brought Mickey Mouse to life. He has not only made his dreams come true but generations to follow. There are many people at Disneyland today living out their dreams.
JESUS ~
Now let me take it to Jesus and his example. He wants us to dream and believe big. To cast down negative imaginations and bringing out thoughts captive to the obedience of Christ. It's hard to understands some whys of life and I know that. It's hard to press forward when your heart is broken. It doesn't always feel as if there is a happy place on earth. Yet, right in the middle your heart is freedom. Freedom to know that God does care and that all things happen for a reason.
2 Corinthians 10:5-6 King James Version (KJV)5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
MY HAPPY PLACE ~ Is found when I have peace within my heart. My struggle isn't against flesh and blood, but the enemy of my soul. My life changes on a daily base and I see the importance of a new day. I see the importance of treating a child with respect and teaching them to dream big. I heard my granddaughter (Brookley) says this, "I can be anything when I grow up". A positive view of herself and she loves Jesus lots.
Our example does matter. Walt Disney might not have known the depth of his dream until it was written out. Today is your blank page before you. What do you need to write out and see it come to pass. Walt Disney is no different than you, other that he put action to his dream. Maybe you have put your dream to action and that's amazing. Never stop pressing forward or believing big.
Jesus gave it all just for you and me. His life was purposed and each of us are different. My happy place is truly allowing peace to enter my mind, casting down imaginations of defeat and knowing that this new day can bring much happiness. Thoughts are powerful and deceiving. Be careful what you think bout in life because one thought leads to another.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends. One example of kindness goes further than you might ever know. Jesus Loves You and never forget that.
