Matthew 6:34 New International Version (NIV)
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
Let us hold on to scripture that brings life to us. Words throughout the Bible of things past, present and future. The joys of yesterdays and the joys of tomorrow. Choosing to see the things God has already done in our life time.
Jeremiah 29:11
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
THE LAST DAY OF SOMETHING ~
It can also bring some concerns. Concerns of what is new next in life and needing to trust God. The unknown can be scary at times, but when you have God in the middle of your heart, there is a peace. A peace beyond a human understanding. It's okay for something to end, because greater is ahead. As a kid in school, I remember being happy for the school year to end and yet scared for when it began again.
2 Timothy 1:7 King James Version (KJV)
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
We must remember that fear is not from God. God has given us power, love and a sound mind. Thinking before we speak and living our lives as examples of Jesus. There is too much to gain in one day than to loose. Keep those eyes focus on this day that God has created for us. Through each day of life, let us see it brings blessings in so many ways.
Last night I was thinking about the end of this year. So many sorrows I have felt this year and seeing how God helped my heart to handle things. There are things seen in our lives to others and there are many thinngs not seen. Only God knows our complete heart. Our hearts desires for family and friends, but also our hearts desires for ourselves. I developed diabetes this year and began a new way of eating, exercise and change. I lost 15 pounds in less than two months and I find each day a challenge for me. I need to take medication now to handle it. The great news is, I've working on it and my doctor is able to help me.
I can look back and see the joys of this past year. The joys of time with family and friends. Life is a mixture of ups and downs. Situations will come and how we handle it is important. I know people who are so busy taking care of others, that they forget to take care of themselves. God wants a health balance in our life of our time. Also taking time to think about blessings on a daily bases is my goal. I remember when the electricity went off. Wow that was a shocker because I am so used to turnign on a switch. I am not a fan of the dark. Let me compare this to Jesus. Once Jesus comes into your life, it's like a light switch goes on and he stays forever if we let him.
I say this often, over my life I've been broken, bitter and sad. God came into my heart and showed me a new way of thinking, living and breathing. It takes time to get over somethings and somethings are never over. We learn how to get through them and choose to become better in life and not bitter. There is so much joy and happiness waiting us in a new day. We need to purpose it and count blessings of this year past. We can learn from mistake and wasted time.
Somethings in our lives need to be done. Closed doors need to stay closed and a open heart keeps to believe in a greater today. Just like a clock ticks away, so does our time on earth. We are to be done with childish things. Grow into an adult and live in today. I speak of this often because I believe it. Too many people worry about tomorrow and miss out on today. If God has closed a door in your life, leave it closed. Press forward with wisdom and knowledge of his word (Bible).
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
HAPPY NEW YEARS EVE ~
