Isaiah 61 New International Version (NIV)
The Year of the Lord’s FavorThe Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me,
because the Lord has anointed me
to proclaim good news to the poor.
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim freedom for the captives
and release from darkness for the prisoners,
2 to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor
and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,
3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion--
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
instead of ashes,
the oil of joy
instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the Lord
for the display of his splendor.
A NEW YEAR ~
The year of the Lord's Favor
Living in your now is very important. Look at today, God has given you life and to live it according to his word. Living in freedom of thoughts and actions according to his plan. Living knowing that your peace is in God. Daily we make choices that guide our lives. We must never forget that we have free will and we need to make right choices.
What are your plans for the new year? Desires, wants and actions to be put into play. Last night you might have made a new year resolution. Making that promise of working out more, walking more, eating right, loosing weight, saving money, getting closer to God and the list goes on. So many times these new years resolutions are not kept. Making big promises on one night and falling away days later. I guess it's the thought that counts, but something that is really important to our hearts, we should keep.
A NEW DAY ~ A NEW MONTH ~ A NEW YEAR
It all comes together to today. The first day of a new things. Keep your mind stayed on track of what your desires are in life. Prayers works wonders, but often times those prayers needs action. We just can't say we want a huge house, we need to plan for it. We just can't say we want a better job, we need to go after it. God can open amazing doors for us and we might miss the opporutnity, but I've seen how God gives us other chances too. His words is true, fair and we can learn from our mistakes too.
As the new day is here, count blessings of what you have right now! Giving honor to God for all he has already done and he promises to do more. Our job is to praise him through it all and learn daily. There is something I learned daily in life. Things I could have done different, maybe things I wish I wouldn't have said and actions too. Too many days are wasted in wrong thoughts and we must make the best of each day. After all, we just celebrated Jesus birthday and it's time to live in freedom in our lives.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
HAPPY NEW YEAR and HAPPY NEW DAY
