THIS IS THE DAY ~
Psalm 118:24-29 New International Version (NIV)24 The Lord has done it this very day;
let us rejoice today and be glad.
25 Lord, save us!
Lord, grant us success!
26 Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.
From the house of the Lord we bless you.
27 The Lord is God,
and he has made his light shine on us.
With boughs in hand, join in the festal procession
up[b] to the horns of the altar.
28 You are my God, and I will praise you;
you are my God, and I will exalt you.
29 Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
his love endures forever.
THIS IS THE DAY ~
I also know that this day brings great joy to some and sadness to others. Just a day filled with life and death. Mixed emotions carry on this day too. I have a friend whose teenage daughter went to Heaven on this day. I have another friend whose dad went to heaven on this day. I was talking with her yesterday and mixed emotions sure happens in life. I pray for their families and friends because I know that years later, it still hurts. God is there for us in all seasons but it does bring back good thoughts and sad thought.
Celebration of a new day of life for each of us is here. In mixed emotion God is the only one who can give us true peace. God connects lives for purpose. I see how my yes to God has connected me to other people. People who inspire me to become a better person and people who truly care about me as well. Life is short and we never know what might happen in our lives. Purpose to give God your complete heart and allow him to change your from the inside.
I remember one day that Brookley asked me if she could write a blog. I can't tell you how much joy that brought my soul. She loves God and wants to write. She loves God wants to sing on the worship team at church. She wants to make a positive difference and is such a combination of her mom and dad. Ashley went through a hard delivery, but she kept such a positive attitude. I am so grateful that God brought them through so this day could be one of much happiness. Honestly, I still remember the hard time on this day and all the prayers that went up for Ashley and Brookley.
GOD IS ABLE ~
To answer our prayers. Some prayers are not answered the way we think but I have seen how God turns things around in time. I choose to believe big and lean to him for understanding. Sometimes that is just resting in his plan and being there for others. I hope your today is one of peace and live in the freedom of your own choices to be good ones. God loves you and is working behind the scenes of your life!
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
