Lamentations 3:17-26 New International Version (NIV)
17 I have been deprived of peace;
I have forgotten what prosperity is.
18 So I say, “My splendor is gone
and all that I had hoped from the Lord.”
19 I remember my affliction and my wandering,
the bitterness and the gall.
20 I well remember them,
and my soul is downcast within me.
21 Yet this I call to mind
and therefore I have hope:
22 Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.
23 They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
24 I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion;
therefore I will wait for him.”
25 The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him,
to the one who seeks him;
26 it is good to wait quietly
for the salvation of the Lord.
It is important to leave a postive legacy to others. There are others who watch our lives and our example matters. Each of us was created to make a positive difference in lives. You might be the only Jesus that someone might come in contact with. This journey of life holds divine connections with others and family. I hope that my grandchildren see the difference in me. I try hard daily to make a difference. Sometimes I make mistakes and wish I had not said certain things. I realize I'm human and all we can do is better in life. Some people get frustrated with me, but I promise the intent of my heart is only to help others.
I like verse 25 above: The Lord is good to those who hope is in him, to the one who seeks him: 26 it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.
God has a plan of reach of us. Let us not forgive to give God praise and wait in areas needed. If we could just look around and see all that God has already done in life. He is faithful and we must be faithful back to him. My prayers continue for each one who reads my blog, your family and friends. I care and I hope you can feel that through my writings. Purpose this a good day!
