and parents are the pride of their children.
Proverbs 13:22 New International Version (NIV)

but a sinner’s wealth is stored up for the righteous.
Psalm 37:25 New International Version (NIV)
I was young and now I am old,
yet I have never seen the righteous forsaken
or their children begging bread.
I now understand the word GRAND before Children. I am a much better Grandma than I was a mom. I've seen and learned so much over time. I look at my kid/adults and see how they are now parents. How can this be possible and how does time go by so fast? Learning to live in this day is so valuable and what I choose to think about matters. I can look back and see how I wished I had more time with my kids while they were little. More time to play, enjoy the crazy and love life. I wasted too much time being frustrated over things and mad at God for life. Watching my brother die was one of the worst experiences of my life. I wanted God to give him a miracle, but God choose to take him at 37 and I was 32 years old. My kids had to deal with a mom who was hurt, broken and lost inside. I could have handle it different but guess what? I handled it the only way I knew how and I see that.
Being a grandparent doesn't mean we have all the answers or even the right attitude at times. It means that God has given us another chance with kids and our best is what he wants. I realize that not everyone has kids or grandkids in life. There are children all around us and see how volunteering at school, not only helps teachers, but other kids in that room. Children who said to me, I wish my grandma would help. It gives me a chance of asking, "did you ask her?". Kids will say yes but she is too busy at home. Others might say, she is too old. I even have kids ask if I could be their grandma. My example I am sure matters to them. One of kindness and smiles is what I try to do daily. Kids are important. You can also volunteer at your church. Kids ministry needs more adults to help. It's fun and rewarding helping children. I also know that not everyone is a kid person, but you can always say HI to a kid or even just a smile as you walk by.
It is not always about money, but an positive attitude and your example matters.
I am glad I had a new day to write you and share some hope. Look inside of you and let that kid come alive again. Enjoy the sun, a smile, a walk or a talk with someone. Kids wants to be around other kids and I find myself wanting to be around people of all ages. God has been good to me and it's nice to share his goodness daily. My prayers continue for you, your family and friends. Purpose this a good day and thank God for children.
