Children’s children are a crown to the aged,
and parents are the pride of their children.
GRAMME TIME ~
In the picture, is my first grandchild Brookley. The year was 2009 and just turned 11 years old this month. I will never forget that day. Her mommy Ashley was having a hard time in delivery. Prayers began to go up for her and for Brookley. It was a most scary time and things happen quickly. Ashley was rushed into delivery and I would see my son sitting outside the door with tears. His hands were folded into praying hands and he could only look at me with tears. I motioned back that I was praying and I prayed so hard. It would be not too long but seemed like forever, the doctor would come out. Both mommy and baby were fine. The joy that filled my soul when I knew mommy and baby was okay. Ashley would need to rest and I would see her later that evening. I know that God did a miracle of life for both of them.
GENERATIONS TO GENERATIONS ~
GOD REMAINS THE SAME
I love my children and grandchildren so much. I enjoy the time I get with them and I count blessings everyday of life. I am happy that we share time and experiences of life with the joy of the Lord. Things happen and we begin to pray. Prayer changes you which changes reactions to things as well. Trusting the unknown is faith and living a life pleasing to God. Living kindness and sharing kind words brings about a peaceful time of life.
Psalm 127:3 New International Version (NIV)3 Children are a heritage from the Lord,
offspring a reward from him.
My example makes a difference and I know that. Your example makes a difference too. Not everyone has children or grandchildren in life. Yet, their example to kids makes a difference too. There are wonderful aunts, uncles, cousins and neighbors. Yes, you can be a great example to the kids around your house. Kids in your church or event at a school in volunteering. I have found that I not only an example to kids but adults. People watch out lives and we might not realize that. I have heard people say I wish I was you. Then I said no you don't because you don't know my story. Each of us carry stories of life and we must press on into a new day with hope. Hope of today being better than yesterdays of life and thanking God for this new day!
Yesterday, we celebrated my second granddaughter's birthday (Willow). She was so excited to get chocolate chip pancakes with her mommy and Chris. Then evening would give her chocolate cake her daddy and Ashley had with candles on it. The joy of seeing her happy, brought joy to my soul. Giving God thanks for family everyday of life.
I pray daily for you, your family and friends. I know a new day can seem hard to many and yet, a gift from God. I believe God is working out our world issues with the virus and giving people wisdom in handling it. I don't alway understand things, but I understand my part in all of this. Shelter in place, write my blog, walk and stay in contact with those I care about. Please know I care and purpose this a good day.
