37 “Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. 38 Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
There are times in life when we must show grace to others. Just as the Lord has shown us grace and he wants us to live our lives according to his word (Bible). Forgiving is a choice you make toward yourself and others. I am so glad that God says he forgives us and guess what, he never reminds us of that sin. As we forgive, we will be forgiven. I like that God says that the measure of our use, will be measured to us. God is faithful and he wants us to prosper in life. Not only physically, mentally but spiritually too.
I have seen people extend grace to me and others to judged me.
Have you ever been judged wrongly and wondered where the grace was? I certainly have and it's a terrible feelings trying to explain yourself and the person already has their mind made up. Sometimes there is nothing you can do about a situation but your best. After you know you asked forgiveness or done your best, you might just need to let it go. I have been in situations of life when I had to just let it go. When someone judges you wrong, nothing changes it. I had people tell me that prayers changes it, but it has been over 20 years and it hasn't changed. I had to change me inside and know that God extends grace and I except his grace. I was judged wrong and I must let it go now.
Living in the real world is always about being right or wrong. It's about people who have their own minds and actions of life. Not everyone who reads the Bible, lives it. Not everyone who goes to church is really a christian. Forgiveness is truly given by God and we must live in that. We must forgive those who come against us and live by the grace of God in everyday life. Being an example of Christ is hard at times because we are human. We might say words or actions that is not totally of him. Just go back and forgive yourself. Words goes deep and we must remember that. Speak kind words and live the best you can do his will daily.
Have you ever been eating food and just need a little salt? That little salt adds flavor and just makes everything better. God speaks of salt in our words and conversations.
Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.
I want to hold onto Colossians 4:6 because my conversation needs to be full of grace plus seasoned with salt. I talk about thinking before you speak but sometimes I forget that. Yesterday, I spoke words and my actions were not so pleasing. I went across of line of words and I felt sad within my heart. It was major bad or was it? Sometimes we take on words that others say and I never want anyone to take on words I say. It sometimes hard because my heart of feelings gets in the way of my words. I let emotions overtake my thought pattern before I think it out. Just being real with you today because words are important.
Philippians 4:13 New King James Version (NKJV)I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me
Let us put into our minds, we can do anything we set our minds to through Christ. Good actions, good thoughts and a good day. Maybe you face a illness, job need, financial need, marriage need, and the list goes on. Whatever your need is, God is right here. Maybe it won't turn out like you think, but you can rest assure that God is right here. I have seen some unanswered prayers, really become answered prayers in a different way. God is able to created a miracle or a healing process. Things come to an end and new beginnings start. Let us be joyful in a new day and count blessings of life. Life is so short and we never know what might happen today. Resting in giving our lives to God and letting him lead us.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
