Psalm 23 New International Version (NIV)
A psalm of David.
1 The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,
3 he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths
for his name’s sake.
4 Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me
in the presence of my enemies.
You anoint my head with oil;
my cup overflows.
6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
PSALM 23 ~
I find words of life within this chapter. I held onto verse 4 when I had my heart attack. It says, "even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me, your rod and your staff, they comfort me". I also quotes this verse: 2 Timothy 1:7 (NKJV) For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
I was scared when I heard the doctor say heart attack, I knew that God has my life in his control. It was a place of wanting others with me and not going through this alone. Did I feel God with me? Yes, I did but I also wanted others to pray and know that prayer changes things. We can hold tight to scriptures we know, but also hold tight to our family and friends. I believe God did a miracle in my life and I stand firm on that. I am now signed up for two healthy eating classes and one exercise class a week at Kaiser. I want to do everything I can to get better.
Our lives need to put scriptures deep within our hearts. To live with hope in a new day and peace of it all. God is able to turn your situation to good. God is able to give you a miracle of health. God is able to handle anything put in front of him. We don't know God's timing on things, but we can learn to trust him through it all. God is forever with you and will bring you through the hardest things of life. In those hard things,we can learn and grow into a better person. What we learn, we can share with others and others can share with us. Purpose this a good day.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
