Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, according to the promise of life which is in Christ Jesus, 2 To Timothy, my dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.
3 I thank God, whom I serve from my forefathers with pure conscience, that without ceasing I have remembrance of thee in my prayers night and day;
4 Greatly desiring to see thee, being mindful of thy tears, that I may be filled with joy;
5 When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.
6 Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.
7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
PRAY FOR ONE ANOTHER ~
God has not given us the spirit of fear
I had a zoom call last night that stirred my soul. We listed out our prayer request and then we began to pray. I felt peace after we were done praying. I know that God is able to meet the needs of others and for my family too. God is with us daily and sometimes we just need to see the faces of those who pray. I want to point out, God has not given us the spirit of fear and yet so many are fearful right now. The stress of the Coronavirus and shelter in place continues in many places. I heard last night, on Thursday things will close again in Napa. Indoor dinning in restaurants, bars and indoor tasting rooms. I immediately felt scared because the numbers are going back up for people with the virus. Yet, I had to recall God's word:
1 Peter 5:7 (NIV)
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
2 Timothy 1:7 (NIV)
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
Those two scriptures above, will help you daily. I don't listen a lot to the news or people who speak negative about the future. I have learned to live in this day and count blessings of life. If I think too far ahead, I find myself wondering about my family, plus people in general. There are so many out of work and in need of money. God's we turn to you and ask for new positive beginnings today!
I've seen too many miracles to doubt the power of God. In our free will, we can feel peace beyond a human understanding. Choose to rest in knowing God is able and he doesn't give us the spirit of fear. Purpose this a good day.
My prayers continue for all.
