A place where dogs can run free and enjoy freedom. As I sat with a friend yesterday at the park, we watch dogs that ran free by their owners. The dogs barked, ran, jump, played and no cares in the world. My friend and I, sat there having a conversation about life and how far God has brought our lives. It was a beautiful day.
Talking with a close friend is like having the freedom to speak whatever is on your heart and you know it's going to stay there. This season of life has been hard for me and I find myself not wanting to talk about certain things to others. I saw yesterday how I had locked deep thoughts up. As my friend began to speak, I knew she knew my heart and it became easy to talk. Sharing our lives together and just a God given time for both of us. It's crazy how we are live so far away from each and our ages so different but yet, it so easy to talk. A god given friendship helps both of you.
Iron sharpens iron, So one man sharpens another.
There are different seasons of life, just like the weather. There is winter, spring, summer and fall. There are seasons of our lives as well that bring us joys and sorrows. Maybe a mixture of both and seasons come, then seasons go. I saw a beautiful tree yesterday full of several colors, I realized how the leafs change, but it still rooted deep into the group. In our lives, we are rooted to God and things from this word hold true. It doesn't mean that a season will always make sense to us. But God has a way to connect us to friends who will stand with us through it all. Just like the verse above ~ IRON SHARPENS IRON.
Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor. For if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to lift him up.
We get things done quicker because there is two of us!
I have found that a friend holds a talent given by God than might be different than mine. We blend our lives and bring out the best in each other. Not everyone will be your best friend or even bring the best out of you. It is a title held by many and yet that person might be a million miles away when you need someone. Sharing a love across the miles can be done, but it does work on both side of a person. As I talked with my friend yesterday, I saw how important time is and the connect God made between us. I promised to do better in keeping in touch with you Melissa. Thank you for being you and so real about things that happen in life. It made it easy for me to be so real back.
Sharing seasons of life become hard at times. I just finished the season with my mother in law/love. It changed me from the inside out sitting by her side as she traveled to Heaven. So many new experiences and time spent with her sharing stories. We never know what one day will bring in life. Taking those special moments as seasons that God created just for us. My husband and I had friends who stopped by with coffee, food and a smile of hope. People care if you let them into your world. Not everybody gets the depth of a loved one leaving this earth. But God has a way of sending people into our path of life to encourage and just a smile helps.
As we enter into a new day, let us count blessings of friendships. Maybe they hasn't all turned out like we thought and there are times when we must let go of people. People who take us down, instead of encouraging us. A real friendship brings out the best in each other. Take care of you and speak words of life to yourself. I say this often, "I am stronger than I think and I will continue on the right path of life". I thank you (readers of my blog) for taking time to read this and plant hope. My prayers continue for you, your family and friends. Happy New Day and I truly care about you!
