My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. 13 Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. 14 You are my friends if you do what I command. 15 I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you.
FRIENDS ~
It is the plan of God to develop friendships
How ever had a friend who just knows you? It's like they look into your soul and feels your heart. God gives friendships for a reason and wants us connected. The Bible says this in Matthew 18:20 ~
For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.
FRIENDSHIP ~
Spur one another on......
Hebrews 10:24-25 New International Version (NIV)
And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, 25 not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.
Have you ever felt your attitude change, as you are around certain people? I certainly have felt that at times of life. I remember when someone was depressed and before long, I felt sad. I remember when someone was excited and I felt excited for them. We must be careful who we hang around and the things we think about in life matters.
A REAL FRIEND ~
I know without a doubt that Jesus loves me. I believe John 3:16 and how God gave the closes thing to his heart to save us. When we put Jesus in our hearts, our lives change. Hope becomes a live inside of us and we just know God is able. Able to handle whatever we face and resting in his plan. Sometimes the plan for our lives goes different than what we might think. I can look back on my own life and see how the hard stuff of life has mixed with the good stuff. I am who I am today because of all the things I have gone through. God is amazing how he just knows our hearts desires and answers us. Through it all, I have learned to trust the Lord.
Proverbs 18:24 New International Version (NIV)
One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin,
but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.
Jesus is a true friend who has gone through a lot for each of us. His life was purposed and so is ours. Be careful what you think and take time reading the Bible. Inside of it is hope and guides our lives. Look around you and see the real friends you have and how you make a difference too. We don't always see what we do in life, but God does. He knows us the best and the desires of our hearts. I prayed one day for friends and God gave them to me. I continue to make friends and I thank God for a new day of life. Let's go make a difference this day and share his friendship with others.
My prayers continue for you, your family and friends.
