Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free
Forgiveness is a something God gave each of us. He forgave our sins and gave us new beginnings. We must forgive others as well. Forgiveness doesn't mean you must put that person back in your life. It means you must forgive to be forgiven. It took me a while to understand this concept of life, but when I did, I felt the freedom that only God could give me. He forgave me and forgot it. That is such a huge concept to live in.
John 10:10 New International Version (NIV)
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
Let us remember that the thief is the devil and he has plan to destroy us. He wants us to think wrong thoughts and do wrong things. The devil comes in like a light, but the end is death. Let us not give time to the enemy of our souls. Any negative thoughts are truly taking us away from God's peace.
Ephesians 4:32 New International Version (NIV)
Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
Forgive yourself of mistakes of life
John 8:31-32 English Standard Version (ESV)
The Truth Will Set You Free
31 So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, 32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
Giving my heart to God was a special moment and life decision. I see how God helps behind the scenes of my life and the importance of prayer. Prayer changes me, which changes things. It is the way we think and react to situations that matter. Our attitudes and examples become so important not only to others, but ourselves. Looking into the mirror, I see a young girl who wanted to live kindness and that is happening. Even thought the mirror shows me wrinkles, gray hair and an older woman. A woman who learned to trust the Lord and continues to trust the Lord. Trust is a word I don't take lightly. I know God is always there and will be always there for each of us.
TAKE MORE TIME ~
Take time to read the Bible and apply scriptures of life to yourself. You might be the only Jesus someone see's in life and your example shines. I remember looking at others and wondering why their lives seem so happy. I began to talk to older women in my church. I was in my early 20's and I listen to them about prayer. I watched them raise their hands in church and wondered why. I didn't grow up in a church or know the depth of knowing Jesus in my heart. As I watched and listen, I began a desire to know more about scriptures. Scriptures in the Bible can bring so much hope, love, promise and the future.
Let us learn to live in this day. Count blessings of life. Press forward toward God and let go of what we can not change. My prayers continue for the readers of my blog, your family and friends. Know his, "God is able". If you haven't forgave yourself over something, do that today. Life is short and we just don't know what might happen in this day.
